9 Montana Republicans voted with 18 Democrats to lower income tax, provide Medicaid, invest in infrastructure, and provide support for their citizens. Because of this, the GOP censured them and kicked them out of the party.

Interesting times in MAGAville. Seems like the policies of the GOP are loathed even though the rhetoric is loved.

MAGAS must have tyrannical power in that state. Progressives ? Against progress , none of this makes any sense - has to be maga.

Looks like 18 Dems jumped ship to be more like the GOP
18 democrats are all there are in the Senate there. 100% voted for it. In the lower house 100% of the dems voted for the bill too. It was a democratic led bill with some brave support across the aisle from a small portion of the Pubs… or formerly pubs.

Then they all jumped ship to champion conservative causes.

Lower income tax? That not very 'democrat' on the face of it.
I'll have to read the details of this one.

Montana is certainly doomed.

Actually doesn't have anything to do with maga. And, this is from February of 2025,
the democrats are actually trying to work with the republicans. Seems they did find
some common ground. This is how the government is supposed to work.
And Citygator doesn't understand the concept, apparently.

But who kicked the republicans out ?

sounds pretty stupid to lower taxs and then increase spending,,

how about lower taxs and cut spending??

Officials in Montana are running fake day care and senior care and are all on the take.

Those who stand with traitors are traitors.

Democrats = traitors

Spending more while cutting taxes is not conservative, it is W.

Spending less while cutting taxes is conservative.

Spending more really is never conservative, unless there is a national security issue.

It is truly shocking how many "Republicans" here consider SPENDING MORE while "cutting taxes" to be conservative. It is NOT. It is BIG GOVERNMENT plus BIG FUTURE DEBT.

Getting one's priorities straight is important. I guess infrastructure isn't important to a working nation

Montana has only two Senators. You neglected "state" in your thread title.

Post the bill they passed that lowered income tax, provided Medicaid, invested in infrastructure, and provided support for their citizens.

From what I understand it was the Medicaid part that pissed the WY gop off and why the ones that voted with the dems were expelled from the party.

The state set had the standards for Medicaid eligibility in WY but now they will have to accept federal standards which are a lot more lenient....And expensive for the state, thus the increased spending.

Works for me, parties have a right to kick out who they want.

To not be able to compromise is not good in a free nation. To ostracize those in a political party because they compromise is putting party above the well -beimg of the people
That's truly sad .
