A good start.....Just the fear it puts in illegal's hearts is worth the price of admission.

I remember when you could clear out a Home Depot parking lot by just pulling up in one of the white caged transport vans VDOC used to have.

ICE used the same ones and they would see me in uniform and it was exit stage right.

I would just be going in to get something for the camp like paint or some such.

When I was doing safety inspections I could clear out the entire staff of a restaurant just by pulling out my camera. One photo the insurance campanies always wanted was of the cookline equipment. When I went in the kitchen I would tell the staff there I would be taking that photo and they were welcome to be in it or they could step out for a minute. There often were one or two at least who stepped out. Sometimes most or all.
