6 Signs You're Living In a Society that Worships Idiots

Put me down as in agreement with Socrates. Heavy dude. But from my much smaller perspective, I think you can find at least six signs predicting our decline-downfall by simply going to a No Kings protest. There will be all kinds of stupid signs there, most of them affirming one of Socrates' 6 points.

I live in the south which is a society where idiots think they should be worshiped, which is kind of worse.

The first minute has to be directly directed to idiots on this board...

This was all right, up until the narrator got to the diagnosis of what the problem is. He blames the uneducated and the masses, those who don't have expertise in various disciplines, for basically being poo-poo heads.

All he states is that skepticism is good. . . "but," And most folks know everything after the "but," is generally nothing but excuse making.

Experts have been, and are corrupted by the system, and then government and mass media, which had helped to corrupt them, magnify their voice. When proved wrong, there is no accountability in the so-called "leadership class," any longer.

This is why the masses have been dismissive of "specialized knowledge," not because it is some inherent flaw in society.

Instead of blaming society, or the masses, who really don't know any better other than how takes on specialized knowledge affect their lives. . . this guy would have done better to blame the leadership class.

(This doesn't even address the fact that experts themselves disagree, but the establishment usually only presents us with one authorized orthodoxy.)

So don't blame the idiots on the board, blame the "experts," and curators of the information the idiots are discussing.

Humbug Gets Hemlock

Socrates's dialectics were spin-doctoring sophistic double-talk. He was after power and condemned only those who used his twisted logic for profit.

There's no reason for his heirs, the academics, to require Socrates' as the possessive of ancient names ending in s.
That is pure authoritarianism, correct just because they say so, even though it is dysfunctional and led to that illogical usage with modern names ending in s. Proof that Christianity is on the side of academic tyranny is the usage of "In Jesus' Name" instead of the traditional "In Jesus's Name."

Abusing Tolerance

Trump was confirming the novel People Will Always Be Kind, in which a nasty cripple played on his victims' sympathy for his condition in order to get away with being an ambitious imbecile.
