You had to go back fifty-four years to find an example of anyone being convicted or even charged.

Point is that there is far more legal danger in disobeying an order than in obeying an order that might later be deemed unlawful.

So the legal advice is terrible. Lawyers are supposed to know precedent, and advise clients accordingly.
