Kudos to Larry Ellison. $500 million spent winning and defending the Americas Cup. Billionaires spending their well earned money on toys. American excellence and focusing on the best is what made this country great, not focusing on making sure no lazy don't want to work loser gets hand-outs.

Then the whining liberals are silent about the liberal billionaires like Gates and Buffett spending boku bucks on tax loopholes to evade taxes, liberal politicians like Clinton, Clinton Daschle and Rangle actually commit tax fraud, guys like Gore illegally solicit donations and guys like Obama lecture us he should pay more taxes, but doesn't.

Liberalism, putting someone else's money where their mouth is.

I love the boats and the whole sailing ideal, but I wonder if there isn't some point where the race became more about engineering than sailing. Don't get me wrong, the boats are fantastic, but how much of the winning boat is because the sailors and how much is because of developments in the lab?
