Nothing new there, nor sinister. Restrooms, dressing rooms, locker rooms, communal showers,and similar facilities have long been segregated by sex, for very good reason.

This is only seen as a problem by insane, perverted individuals who deny the difference between the sexes, and claim to be the opposite of their actual sex, and demand access to the opposite sex's facilities. Sane, decent people, will never agree that it is reasonable to violate established modesty and privacy rights, in order to pander to this tiny handful of sick perverts.
