Technically, there are far more than two parties, it's just that the fringe parties just aren't acceptable to people with common sense, so they don't vote for them.
The Communist Party.
The Socialist Party.
The Green Party.
The Constitution Party.
The Libertarian Party.
The American Solidarity Party.
The Working Class Party.
The Legal Marijuana Now Party
On and on the list goes. Each one has its quirks that cause people to reject them and as the so-called Democrat Party gets loonier and loonier, they will get less votes.

Technically, there are far more than two parties, it's just that the fringe parties just aren't acceptable to people with common sense, so they don't vote for them.

That's really not it, and that's the problem. People don't vote for third parties because they have the "lesser-of-two-evils" gun pointed to their heads: "If you don't vote for Ds, Rs will win!!!", or "If you don't vote for Rs, Ds will win". Lots of people say they don't like either D or R, but vote for one because they fear the other.

Biden almost became president, Democrats never wavered in their support long after it became public knowledge that Biden no longer was mentally capable of functioning without 24hr medical care.

Democrats were literally willing to vote for anyone with D next to their name. Democrats did and do vote only because the person is calling themselves a Democrat.
