It continued to focus an "anti-tail" toward the Sun. Unprecedented behavior for a "natural comet". It focused the anti-tail towards the Sun on its approach to perihelion and then continued to focus the anti-tail toward the Sun as it receded from perihelion.

Almost as it it was directing an energy beam in the direction of the solar wind in order to shield itself

The “anti tail” that is, the stream of particles that has pointed towards the Sun since first contact continues to perplex

A normal comet has material blasted from its surface and follows the solar wind as its blown away from the Sun. 3I continues to project a massive blast TOWARDS the Sun.

Explanations of how this is possible from a natural object start to sound as increasingly absurd as assigning the massive construction under the Giza Pyramids to slave laborers using copper chisels.

I understand that NASA refuses to retask Juno in order to orient it to the 3I flyby later this summer. They claim the scientific research mission of Jupiter mechanics, which will still be available for the next billion years, outweighs the chance to capture data from this transient alien visitor
