$34.8B, that seems like a lot.

Trump cancels billions in clean energy grants while increasing subsidies for oil and gas

On Oct. 2, the Trump Department of Energy announced it was cancelling over $7.5 billion in federal funding for 223 clean energy projects that the administration argues would be a waste of taxpayer dollars. The projects are mostly in states that voted for Democrat Kamala Harris in last year’s presidential election.

But President Trump’s own landmark legislation signed in July, the “Big Beautiful Bill,” grants an additional $4 billion a year in new taxpayer subsidies to the fossil fuel industry. According to a recent report from Oil Change International, including existing fossil fuel subsidies, the U.S. federal government will subsidize the production of oil, gas, and coal by at least $34.8 billion per year in coming years.

Meanwhile.........

Electricity prices are climbing more than twice as fast as inflation

More than anything perhaps yesterday's election results are a case of the public recognizing the regime's misplaced priorities. Like supporting legacy energy's production of products that are killing the environment. Sending out dozens of pictures on social media of a WH bathroom renovation while 42M Americans are concerned about food security. Pardoning a criminal involved in the crypto biz because he helped you make hundreds of millions of dollars.

Voters want their government to make their lives better. trump has other concerns. It shows.

We need electricity, particularly in this AI age. Fossil fuels are the quickest and most efficient way to get it. America is tired of the climate change hoax and inefficient energy sources. Most Americans agree with Trump on this.

Green energy is lethal to the environment and destroys ecosystems, soils, water supplies, vegetation, flora, and fauna. Good.
I've come to realize it's fruitless to discuss anything with someone so totally brainwashed as your post indicates you are. No means of energy production is perfect. But the use of oil/gas is unequivocally bad for the environment and must be reduced quickly if we are to avoid the eventual catastrophic consequences which are unfolding before our eyes.

Collin Rees, United States Campaigns Manager at Oil Change International, said the Trump Administration is not really interested in free market capitalism and keeping the hand of government away from the energy industry, as it claims. Instead, the administration is trying to undermine clean energy to reward Trump’s fossil fuel donors, which spent over $200 million to elect Trump and Republicans in Congress last election.

Trump is a disaster for energy prices.

Donald Trump promised to slash US electricity bills, but they have increased by 11% since he retook the White House, new data shows.

Democratic lawmakers highlighted the figures in a letter sent to Trump on Friday. “Your administration has no explanations for its failures and no answers for American families that are hit hard by high energy costs, and it continues to actively pursue policies to make this cost crisis worse,” reads the missive, led by Elizabeth Warren, the Massachusetts senator.

Trump said on the campaign trail he would “cut the price of energy and electricity in half” by the start of 2026. Since January, however, average utility prices have gone up by 11% nationally, the lawmakers write.

That’s according to a new analysis from the green group Climate Power, which is based on data from the US Energy Information Administration.

As with everything else, the GQP remains mired in the Flintstone Age.

Here's the good news: The AI buildout might very well save the day. AI data centers demand so much energy that the AI companies are literally planning to create their own electricity. There are companies making technological gains in several different battery systems, there will be hybrid systems (including systems that don't use rare earths), and there are companies even building small, much safer nuclear facilities. So you'll literally see a data center with its own power source.

Public money sure would have helped with R&D and to goose this process, so the companies will have to do it themselves. This administration is ignoring how China is kicking our ass on power and clean energy. Who knows. Fox isn't covering it, so maybe they don't even ******* know about it. Canada does, and they're setting up new relationships with China. Not with us.

I paid $2.49 for gas yesterday. Cheapest this time of year since Trump's first term. So in other words, your post is a lie.

Because they would be a waste of taxpayer dollars. And they'd make energy more expensive.

Bullshit.

Biden's green energy BS still coming on line, driving up costs, eh?

You gave 10 times that amount to Ukraine, and have no idea where it went.

Tell me how many products are made from oil.....and what is your replacement for them?

Data center power demand is enormously influential on electricity prices. One way to mitigate that is not canceling renewable power projects.
