Anti-gunners will try to say that these statistics do not show that more guns reduced gun murder and crime.........

But the truth is this.....more guns in the hands of normal Americans did not equal more gun crime...in fact, gun crime and gun murder went down, as more Americans not only owned guns, but carried them in public for self defense...

======
Instead, according to the FBI's figures, violent crime decreased by 3% in 2023, with murders and non-negligent manslaughter declining by more than 11%.

The newly released data suggests that the decline in violent offenses accelerated in 2024, with a 4.9% drop in violent crime overall and a 14.9% decrease in murders and non-negligent manslaughter cases. As crime analyst Jeff Asher notes, that means that the homicide rate last year was slightly below what it was in 2019; the last year of "normal" crime data before the 2020 pandemic and riots helped lead to a record-setting rise in the violent crime and homicide rates.

When Tennessee got Constitutional Carry (recently) the crime rate went down like 2 %.

Except for the DEMs cities...know what I mean Vern !

Well of course. No one can argue any different. There are 300 million guns owned in this country by tens of millions of people only a tiny fraction of which are criminals, so it stands to reason that more guns equals a proportionally higher number of them in the hands of law-abiding people, and that can only be bad for the criminal hoping to pick on an unarmed citizen, not better for crime.

To argue otherwise as democrats perennially try to do would be equivalent to claiming the majority of all Americans are criminals.

Democratic Administration = less crime in general.

You're welcome.

When criminals know that many law abiders are armed, they rethink their dastardly plans. The idea of sticking someone up with a firearm might sound like a plan in a gunophobic town like Chicago.

But you try to pull that shit in a city where people are packing, it can put a real crimp in your day when the selected victim whips it out and says "say hay low to my leetle friend"

The Democrats won't leave the 2nd Amendment gun issue alone. To implement a Marxist government with no political opposition and no rights, they must first get the guns away from the populace. Once that's done, all the populace can do is complain and eventually be rounded up, then made to disappear.

Non sequitur.

During the American Revolutionary War, approximately 25,000 to 70,000 American Patriots died. This includes those killed in battle, those who died from disease, and those who died as prisoners of war. Additionally, an estimated 6,800 Americans were killed in action.

The 2nd Amendment delivers 40,000 deaths per year!!

So follow along sweetie.
There are 10's of millions of illegals in this country, and only a fraction of them are criminals.

I don't advocate for criminal illegals, but your argument makes zero sense.

Wait, you mean violent crime rates went down under Biden? For real? Dee-yam, who would have thunk it.

The dems will try to move mountains to make law-abiding gun owners into "criminals" (in dem minds) with the stroke of a pen.

I suspect the citizens of Virginia will face this again this coming November with our governor's election.

Richmond can do what it will but the folks out in the Hinterlands simply won't comply.

And, as usual, you are wrong.......go to any democrat party controlled city and you will see violent crime through the roof, driving our current crime rates....and those cities are all gun control paradises...where only the criminals are allowed to carry guns...

Comparing the crime rates of Republican ruled cities like Coudersport PA or The Villages, Florida, with lib cities like Camden NJ and East St. Louis, and the statement is proven to be absurd.

Keep lying, kid.

Red states have higher murder rates than blue.

And not by just a little either.
Thats because of the democrat cities in any state where all the murder and crime is
