Saw it at the IMAX at the Smithsonian Aerospace Museum. Best documentary by far of mans first trip to the moon. Uses just footage to guide you thru that epic time from leading up to the launch to the parades following. I’ve seen a lot of footage, and much of it I had not seen before.

Releases next week on Blu-Ray.

Americans acting like Americans USED to act.

An amazing time, and so glad I lived through it.

No….We still massively overspend and have little to show for it.

LOL

Except a lifestyle envied by most of the planet. Even our poor have cars, smart phones, cable TV and internet, and $500 sneakers.

In addition, the "Space Race" helped to win the Cold War. When we started, we were behind the USSR, by the time we landed on the Moon, we were way ahead. Ten short years, basically. The spinoffs in technology in materials, computers, and other areas was vast.

I noticed that most of the hype about the "Moon landing" movies and documentaries feature rhetoric by JFK but the actual Moon landings happened during the Nixon administration and there ain't a trace of Tricky Dick.
