2014 World-Cup Finale Live-Thread: Deutschland gegen Argentinien!!

Yes, I live in CA (Oaklandtown), but I'm drinking San Pellegrino right now.

I thought I remembered that correctly. I'm in SF, but I'm actually out looking for an apartment in the east bay today.

And since everyone knows how stressful apartment hunting is, it's not hard to understand why I'm in a bar watching the game this early.

I love the East Bay - hope you find a good place.

What town(s) are you looking in?

I'd rather watch the game on my ginormous TV than on the computer.

YW...now where are the appetizers? Your turn.

I'm going back to grad school at Cal, so I'm looking mostly in Berkeley, but Berkeley is a ******* nightmare for apartments right now with the semester about to start.

We're not ruling out anywhere within a 45 minute commute to the Cal campus - right now I'm leaning towards Alameda.

My office is in Emeryville - which has a ton of apartment and condo developments. It's quite a happening spot these days, and you might have better luck there than in Berkeley proper. I'm in Rockridge, btw.

Personally, if I were looking for an apartment, I'd look around Piedmont Ave or Lake Merrit in Oakland. Lots of fabulous old buildings.

15th post
I was hoping for Rouladen.

This is why soccer doesn't catch on, everyone is board with the game and talking about other stuff. Who won?

It doesn't matter, no one will remember by next year.
