At least some of these folks losing their jobs are probably good people, but good people lose their jobs all the time when a company has to lay off some of its work force due to reduced business, loss of a contract or whatever. That way companies stay financially healthy and viable and are able to provide jobs.

Likewise when the federal government becomes bloated with unnecessary, ineffective, inefficient, or workers engaged in unwanted or discontinued processes, they also should be laid off. It is the only right thing to do for the American taxpayers who trust the government to use their money wisely, carefully, efficiently, effectively, honestly.

At the same time we can empathize or at least sympathize with the discomfort and hardship that some will endure making a change in their lives.
