A dull and boring drama about a family of 60's radicals running from he law after bombing a U.S. munitions factory and blinding and crippling a janitor (who wasn't supposed to be there), The movie won a ton of accolades because of it's political content and launched the career of River Phoenix.

Passed on that snore fest...Pretty lame follower of Cary Grant.

The plot centered around a seemingly higher sense of justice in the radical left. Rather than submitting to the law and admitting what they did, the fugitives ended up abandoning their kid to fend for himself and running.
