I picked-up this excellent 1971 Marlin/Glenfield .22 semi-auto this morning. It came with a .75" steel tube Weaver V-22 3 X 6 scope of the same vintage, also in excellent shape. It's a 11 shot tube-fed with a 18" barrel.
It had a M1907 .mil type 1" Hunter sling on it but I removed it in favor of a simple adjustable 1" strap.
The Glenfield line was Marlin's economy line that used a stained hardwood stock instead of walnut. They were mostly made for and sold by Sears & Roebuck.
I took it apart for cleaning and to check the buffer and it's GTG. These little Model 60 variants are usually very accurate for a semi-auto, more so than the Ruger 10-22 which was it's main competition at the time. IMHO they handle a lot better too as far as a hunting rifle goes.
