167,000 Pounds of Beef Shipped Nationwide Has Been Urgently Recalled

A high-priority food recall has been issued for ground beef sent to restaurants across America.

Multiple brand names and products are affected. The USDA posted a list of recalled products on its website.

The notice said the meat may be contaminated with E. coli bacteria. A report from CBS said 17 confirmed E. coli cases have been linked to the meat. All are from Minnesota.

The USDA said the fresh products have a “use by” date of 11/14/2024 . Frozen products were made on 10/22/24.

Meh, what does not kill you makes you stronger. ;)

Cook your damn meat!

Does Cooking Kill E. coli in Meat?

Yes, cooking meat at the appropriate temperature effectively kills E. coli bacteria. E. coli is heat-sensitive, and thorough cooking can destroy any potential harmful bacterial contamination. However, it is essential to cook meat to the appropriate internal temperature to ensure E. coli and other bacteria are fully eradicated.

1. What temperature is considered safe for killing E. coli in meat?

Cooking meat to an internal temperature of at least 160°F (71°C) ensures that any E. coli present will be destroyed.

Do you think that the price of food is going to go down or up with this news?

What is a “protien?” How do you conclude that (whatever it is) it is “vakuable?”

Can't make burgers....put it in a soup.

No ider...just doing my small part to keep people safe.
Just like wearing masks and keeping 6ft apart was ordered by the government to keep people safe. Cook your food, dont eat it raw, and you will survive to live another day.

"Just cook the bacteria out of your decomposing corpse, no problem!"

Oh, and don't forget to check for cysts, just in case your butcher missed one.

Bon apetit!

Having your steak 'rare' is ok, but definitely not a good idea with hamburger.

People are just fuckin' stupid.

My wife had an uncle who always bragged-up eating rare meat.

He ate some undercooked deer liver and a parasite in the liver killed him dead in a week.....He died very badly too.
