So, you love a bill where hard time (10 years mandatory) doesn't start until you get caught with enough to OD 1/4 or more of the student population of average size college in the United States, and are pissed at anybody that would vote against it. Fine, Rock. I am sure you can make a great living never getting caught with more than 100 grams of Fentanyl.

I suspect, they thought the 100 gram trigger for the mandatory 10year sentence was set far too high.

10 years is fine. I would make the threshold 25 grams instead of 100. That is one nasty drug, most estimates say it is 100 times as potent a heroin. It is surprising, at that strength, it has the same trigger threshold as heroin or crack. I heard precursors come from China, via Mexico, versus the top opium poppy cultivation is in Afghanistan. So maybe its a "favored nation" thing, China over Afghanistan, thing.

You should be happy. 100 grams of Fentanyl goes a heck of lot further than 100 grams of Opium. So, the number of fentanyl deaths skyrocketing, may mean nothing to you, so a meaningful crackdown not necessary. Whatever you think best, after all, you are a trump republican.

Your logic is lacking as per usual. Why vote against a bill if you want it lower? Why not amend the bill or submit your own bill making it lower? Want to bet that never happened? Dems are just obstructionist assholes who vote against bills just to make it harder for Republicans to accomplish anything.

Yeah, I do lots of drugs. All prescribed by my doctors. My daughter is a paramedic and tells me about almost all of her runs because we like to talk about things like that. That's why I know so much about drugs and my own experience with my own health.
