It became obsolete for a reason.
It's not a bad gauge it was just to close to the twelve.
I thought my 16 did everything a 12 did, but with less recoil.

The 16 was mainly a goose gun that could be shoulder fired with ease. The really bad boys were the 2 gauge that could knock holes in entire flocks with one shot.
I myself have never fired a 2 or even held one but I did see a 4 used once.
Yeah...thats a little crazy.
Used to hunt geese with Kevin Kunnert the center for the Houston Rockets back in the day and he had a custom 10 gauge that was damn near as tall as I was. But then he was 7'4" and I was around 15.
The damn thing was like an anti aircraft weapon.
He could drop em from ridiculous heights.
