There was this girl I knew named Shirley back in the 70's. If you knew her she would be one of the things on your list of 14 awesome things the 70's gave us!

Glenn Burke was the first out of the closet queer playing in one of the major sports, despite all the Jason Collins and Michael Sams stuff you've heard.
