127 year old statue being removed in oakland

..the Native Americans did the same thing--to include SLAVERY---will they get rid of NA stuff?

because it is confederate. blm strikes again.
This is a lie.

A 127-year-old statue, which means it was erected in 1894, at the height of black codes, Jim Crow, and segregation; 29 years after the end of the war.

The creation of this monument had noting to do with ‘commemorating’ those who fought in the war.

It was created motivated by racism and hate, to intimidate black Americans, to codify black codes, Jim Crow, and segregation, and to make it clear to black Americans that they were second-class citizens.

Good riddance.

In California? You do know don't you that California was part of the Union during the Civil War?

Maybe it's that you don't know what those words mean
When the invaders of from a nation we are war with come here, we will give up huge swaths of territory easily. The oceans are smaller when the enemy can build hundreds and thousands of ships and more for a pittance compared to us. And frankly, who would be the worst enemy?

Thus we see that all the talk of integration and tolerance and diversity were all lies.
