1 dead, dozens sickened in E. coli outbreak linked to McDonald's Quarter Pounders

Nonsense. Neither of those incidents was brought up in a political sense or forum.
..and NPR did not, at all, present this in a 'political forum'. Straight news.

Now I posted it here..in current events with zero political spin.

Oops...just another reason to ditch the Golden Arches:

E. coli food poisoning linked to McDonald’s Quarter Pounder hamburgers has sickened at least 49 people in 10 states, including one person who died and 10 who were hospitalized, federal health officials said Tuesday.
The death was reported in an older person in Colorado, and one child has been hospitalized with severe kidney complications, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported.
Infections were reported between Sept. 27 and Oct. 11, in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, Utah, Wisconsin and Wyoming. Colorado has the most cases, 27, followed by Nebraska with nine.

Everyone interviewed in connection with the outbreak had reported eating at McDonald's before falling ill and most mentioned eating Quarter Pounder hamburgers, the CDC said. The U.S. Agriculture Department, the Food and Drug Administration and state health officials are also investigating.

It probably came from the damned dirty unwashed hands of some illegal aliens working in the meat processing plant.

One more reason to deport the fuckers out the country.

Huh? Where does it say that? I guess I missed it...or, could it be, that you are full of shit and just spouting what you think is going on--making it up as you go....versus what is really happening?

LOL! Always spin to the narrative eh? What a good little tool you are~

Shit! I just checked the list and the Trader Joe’s Waffles were on there.

Damn, Trump works there for one hour and people start dying!

Do keep in mind that the man's focus was on the fries when a person is dead due to whatever went wrong with the burgers.

God bless you and their family and Mr. Trump always!!!

Yep, ground beef and lettuce is the most common items for it to happen with. This is why I go to the local meat market for my beef if I buy it at all. Rare for me to buy it. I have replaced it with venison. I process the deer myself. That way I know it is handled with care.

Now Trump touches food and people sicken then die.

Where else does E-Coli come from?
Most often..groundwater contamination from fields adjacent to grazing animals. Animal feces contaminates flood runoff, for example
This happens with depressing regularity despite everyone being aware of the risk.
Poor hygiene in packing shacks and such does come into play sometimes..but usually, the USDA is all over them folks.

I imagine that the source is somewhere in the Southeast...for this episode.

Re the waffles: just read that toasting them kills listeria, which I did.
