Stationed in Norfolk on the USS Hyman G. Rickover SSN 709. toured the med, earned my Blue Nose, and chased around the Vacaps Victor

I liked sea duty over shore duty though.

My best tour was at NAS Whiting Field, Milton, FL...but any shore duty was great duty! I was also at NAS Jacksonville, FL, MCAS Tustin, CA and MCAS Futenma, Okinawa. My squadron was part of CVG-17 assigned to the Saratoga until it went into SLEP and temporarily to the Independence. You?
