    Most people don't even think twice about blacks and minorities in the service now, as long as you show up and do your job. There's some bigotry, probably will be for a long time, same as for the gays. I served with a few, they were great guys.

    Thanks for the reps. About the gays in the military, was there not a similar argument when women were allowed to serve? All kinds of disciplinary problems would ensue, which didn't happen.
