Guess I don't understand why.

Ok, send my name into space. There are probably a thousand other people alive right now with my exact same name so nothing special is being done for me specifically.

I didn't actually take part in anything or actually do anything. I had no hand in accomplishing anything that would make me proud to be a part of something.

If it excites someone that's fine, I'm not shitting on their fun. I just understand the point of something so meaningless.
