Now that General Motors has submitted the necessary paperwork for its IPO to the SEC, Forbes read through the entire 734 page filing and found this curious tidbit: "We have determined that our disclosure controls and procedures and our internal control over financial reporting are currently not effective." And yes, that means exactly what you think it means....

Again, job creation is not caused by the government. The entrepreneur creates jobs when there is demand for his or her product or service. Govt then comes along and confiscates wealth from that business. What is so difficult to understand about that?

It's a mess.

When it comes to commenting on page 25 of the filing, even the filing has this to say(?), or read(?) all about it(?): “we believe that there are no material inaccuracies or omissions of material fact and, to the best of our knowledge” the figures for 2009, both before and after bankruptcy, and for the first half of 2010 are accurate."

Now that this is nowhere else reported, then it is also recalled that just before the bankruptcy, the SEC had been suing, even before that, about the controls!

Fortunately, the People's Car-Making Collective has to face up to the People's Securities and Exchange Commission, or however the Chinese call it(?)!
