Wow! Imam Curses Christians And Jews At Trump-Attended Interfaith Service In D.C. (VIDEO)

Well, Trump invited the Muslims to participate in the Interfaith Service, and look what happened -- they read a Koran passage cursing Jews and Christians. Muslims can't act like civilized people, even for an hour.

That isn't the only thing that upset the president that day. He was also offended and tweeted that Sesame Street was a bunch of losers when he saw this rerun later in the day.

This is bullshit. Inserting assumed words in brackets into the translation is lame at best in trying to prove something what is not there.

Sajid Tarar is also the founder of American Muslims for Trump and nor does his prayer curse at Jews or Christians.

I heard there is a law that we can't discriminate against an immigrant for a belief they have if that belief is legal. I heard Republicans might toss that law. They will need to as part of the extreme vetting process. Or will the not really vet them extremely?

Sorry to burst your "I hate muslims/Islam" bubble Blackrook.

But the Surah the Imam recited says nothing about Christians and Jews. ....

Surah 1 (The Opening)

1. In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

2. Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds;

3. Most Gracious, Most Merciful;

4. Master of the Day of Judgment.

5. Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek.

6. Show us the straight way,

7. The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.

There is no "cursing" of Jews or Christians in Sura 1.

It *could* be interpreted that way, but not necesarily so.

Al-Fatiha - Wikipedia
There are differing interpretations for verses 6 and 7. The phrase "the Path journeyed by those upon whom You showered blessings" is usually seen as referring to Muslims. The phrase "those who made themselves liable to criminal cognizance/arrest" (more clearly translated as "those who have incurred Your wrath") is usually seen as referring to the Jews and the phrase "those who are the neglectful wanderers" (more clearly translated as "those who have gone astray") is seen as referring to the Christians.[13] The Quran: An Encyclopedia, authored by 43 Muslim and non-Muslim academics says, "The Prophet interpreted those who incurred God’s wrath as the Jews and the misguided as the Christians".[14] Other commentators suggest that these verses do not refer to any particular religious community.

Even with this more traditional interpretation, it is not a curse any more than a Baptist Chick tract is cursing Catholicism by stating, in their opinion, that Catholicism is a work of Satan. They are simply stating what they believe to be true, not calling God's wrath down on them, Rook.

And some interpretations dont even consider this to be a reference to any religions in particular, though that is not the common understanding of it.

All in all, it does seem a fairly odd choice for a prayer meeting that is supposedly ecumenical.

Surah 1 is called Al-Fatiha in arabic and is repeated 17 times per day during the 5 mandatory prayers.

2 times before the sun rises prayers
4 times at the noon prayer
4 time during the afternoon prayer
3 times right before sundown prayers
4 times during the evening prayers

So it like the "Lord's Prayer" for Christians then?

OK, that makes it an understandable selection.

Right from the get go Islam sets the us vs them attitude and embeds it in the minds of all Moslems through repeated repetitions daily.

No. There's no us vs them.

That is one interpretation among many.

Why do you chose to accept that one?

Not many. Look at what it says:

1. al-Fatihah: The Opening

1 In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
2 Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,
3 The Beneficent, the Merciful.
4 Master of the Day of Judgment,
5 Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help.
6 Show us the straight path,
7 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.

Clearly an us vs them. God favors not the ones who reject the teaching of his prophet, Muhammad.

Well, I dont read it that way. As a guy that has a spiritual side to my life, I can easily understand the reference to those who earn thine anger as referring to those who rebel against Gods authority and the reference to those who go astray as those who do not rebel but who come to believe in foolish things, like Gay marriage.

I simply dont believe that it is necessarily a slam on Jews and Christians, though that is the traditional interpretation of them, much like passion plays are traditionally anti-Semitic, but today are not understood by most Christians that way.
