No chance citizens sit by and allow the police to do that to a 78 year old man IMO. I actually don't believe the police officers would ever enforce a no honking law. This world is going crazy. When the dept of public health weaponizes the police against its citizens, then society has broken down IMO.

What does everyone else think please?

Thank you

Let’s have some people parked in front of your house constantly blaring their horns and see how you appreciate it. The NY Post conveniently omits how much of a problem the truckers were making for people trying to live their lives.

I don't live in the city. When I did, I heard horns, trains and sirens all the time. This was daylight so people aren't sleeping. Show me where it is against the law to honk your horn? It is called a peaceful protest. More peaceful than burning, murdering and looting.

But burning down city streets is cool.

don't demonize one if you supported the other

I'm pretty sure it's the prime minister who's making it a problem for people to live their lives.

Blaring dozens of air horns at all hours of the day is a problem. It may be peaceful, but it’s a real dick move. It’s illegal to be a public nuisance.

How was that old man a public nuisance? I consider people coming up to patrons at restaurants and yelling black lives matter a public nuisance. Do you?

Of course they’re a nuisance. That’s why they’re escorted out or arrested for refusing to leave like the people who think they don’t need to wear masks in stores when told to do so.

The truckers created the problem. He should blame them.

Truckers are reacting to what they deem to be unfair vaccine mandates. Again, it was an old man in a van honking for support. You don't believe the police officers went a bit overboard?

What’s unfair about it? Mandate applies to everyone. That’s as fair as it gets.

Sure. They went overboard with the old man. They’re going very easy on the truckers, however.

Anti-noise bylaws are finally being enforced and this individual must have been aware of it. The truckers had already been silenced and this individual was caught pranking to gain attention.

The government and police will allow the protests to continue by under certain terms that are necessary to protect the rights of citizens too.

We certainly don't want a situation similar to Jan. 6th. to develop in which all protesting was terminated by police and military force.

Maintaining peaceful protest and protest that doesn't infringe on the rights of others was the missing element in America.
