This is one race where most people detest both major candidates but Trump is a reality TV star. Would it be legal for him to sponsor an advertiser supported debate forum for all candidates that are registered in even one state to come and debate each other and he will join the slug fest if and when Hillary does. As host he would be on the air each week or alternating with Hillary if she does show up. Plus he will get free publicity and good will.

The question is is it legal

I think so depending on where any profits from ad money go.

So, if it were divided up among the third party candidates and Trump was getting pro-bono face time 2-4 hours weekly it would be legal.

Hard to see his motivation for this. Unless he's truly committed to opening up ballot access. If his NAME is attached, it's probably a campaign expenditure now that he is officially the nominee.

Plenty of other deep pockets could do this anonymously if there is no endorsement. But the Dem/Rep franchise has already signed multiple memos colluding to boycott any debate at which "outsiders" appear. They think they OWN the process.
