Women in combat roles.....the democrats don't care about dead soldiers...

Tell that to any Israeli female solider who would kick ass on any of our far righties on the Board.

Jake, Israelis have a very different mentality thsn we Americans do, when it comes to the military.

All Israelis have to go into the military for 2 (women) or 3 (men) years. The militRy is a way of life in Israel but largely a profession or a means to an end (veterans benefits) here in the USA.

Israelis realize that they live in a constant war zone, outnumbered 11:1; with their very existence hanging by a thread. It's a fight or die mentality for them. Overcome or cease to exist. That's part of why Krav Maga, the martial art taught to their military members, is almost entirely OFFENSIVE in nature.

Anerica's military doesn't have thst sort of mandate or mentality and hasn't in decades. Mostly because they haven't been defending our homes in decades.

It might help Israel to ratchet down that kind of thinking seeings how they are so well protected now.

The last time those stupid fucking assholes went to war, it was over a few potholes in the street. And for that they piled up dead sand ******* by the thousands. Most of whom had nothing to do with the potholes.

For well trained, athletic, strong women a combat role is not out of the question. For the vast majority of American women, putting them in combat roles is just providing brides for the jihad.

The greatest danger is a toxic interpretation of equality. The term, reload, is not the equal to fix your lipstick.

I think it is retarded and asking for a much weaker military. Any nation that sends its women to war deserves to lose that war.
Mathew, you might want to review the role of women in the Red Army during WW2. Women can serve effectively, and were some of the best snipers during WW2.

Sniping would be fine.
That doesnt require a lot of upper body strength.

Assuming they can shoot of course.

yes...there will be more dead soldiers if you allow women into the same combat units as men....

The Obama Pentagon’s Disastrous Decision on Women in Combat, by The Editors, National Review

Carter made this decision in spite of extensive evidence — put forward by the Marines — that mixed-gender units were less capable than their all-male counterparts.

They were less accurate with their weapons, the women were twice as likely to be injured, and mixed-gender units were less capable of evacuating the wounded from the battlefield. Indeed, the strongest women were only as strong as the weakest men.

A public and political class largely insulated from the realities of ground combat has become ignorant of its excruciating and unforgiving physical demands. Prolonged infantry operations — including operations common in the War on Terror — place immense strains on the mind and body. Unit cohesion is critical, and physical breakdowns can be costly both to combat power and to unit morale. Moreover, given how beholden the administration is to the Left, there is no reason to believe that it will hold firm on physical standards if few women prove capable of joining and — crucially — thriving in the infantry environment. Experience with less demanding jobs in law enforcement and firefighting shows that the legal and political pressure to lower standards will be immense. Under the best of circumstances, combat effectiveness will be degraded.

That is not true. Both Democrats and Republicans do care about American soldiers. We already have female fighter pilots and combat engineers.
Currently we have good number of female soldiers. Couple of them even made history passing the US Army Rangers. These female soldier work so hard to get this far............Then deny them that opportunity? That is not right.

Neither party gives a rats ass about our troops. And that's a fact.

If they did give a shit about our troops they would remove any and all salary caps that make it impossible for the VA to hire the specialists they so desperately need to provide just the bare minimum healthcare they were promised.

Is this mean you are denying them their rights and opportunities?

Are we going to force our daughters to register for selective service? That will not go over well at all. Bull Dyke lesbians might want to fight, but girls don't and Obama wants to force them? Once again Obama is destroying our country little by little.
And you are a silly fool. Women have participated in many wars, and have been quite effective. Tend to be better shots than men, and not to make as many hasty decisions. Modern warfare favors brains over brawn, and you are the perfect demonstration of why women can equal men in modern combat.

You have no idea what you are talking about...modern warfare has not changed from primitive warfare......you carry heavy loads, over long distances on very little, bad food, dehydrated and exhausted, and then you pull your trigger...pulling the trigger is the easy part...getting the rifle where it needs to be over weeks of combat is the problem.....

yes...they have to fight...for survival...and they will not perform as well as the men do but they have no choice..the same with the Russians in WW2....we have a choice.......and we are going to send women into combat and they are going to die.......
They don't have to die. They just have to become killers. Then they won't die.

it is hard to kill when you can't move...or have an injury from simply marching through rough terrain for weeks on end........

Why do NaziCons hate women - and then try to blame Democrats? Legislation speaks for itself regarding which party supports women's rights.

nazis were left wing socialists.....American Conservatives are what used to be called "Classical Liberals." Look up the difference you keep getting it wrong.......

Women not being able to fight in ground combat units is not about fairness...it is about combat readiness....

Aren't the paralyzed and injured removed from battle? If not, they are in the same position as any injured animal in the jungle, male or female.

Women in the military have a right to die. What they no longer have is a right to get the vapors and shove off on some guy.

As our evolution is going, men and women are becoming androgynous and interchangeable. Not that women are stronger. Men and women are reaching equality by men becoming weaker. There's no difference between men and women in battle, dicks now drip estrogen.

Opening Combat Jobs to Women Will Mean Lower Standards: Marine General
Jan 08, 2016 | Marine Gen. John Kelly broke ranks with Pentagon brass Friday on the issue of whether ground combat jobs should be open to female troops, saying the "agenda-driven" move was likely to result in lowered military standards.
Kelly, the commander of U.S. Southern Command and a veteran of three tours in Iraq, is set to retire later this month. In a farewell briefing at the Pentagon, the four-star general made clear the Marine Corps' option was to follow to order to integrate its ranks, but suggested the move was politically expedient and not based on military best practices. "I believe given the mission of the U.S. armed forces to fight the nation's wars, I believe that every decision we make, whether it's a personnel decision or an acquisition of a new airplane or widget, I believe every decision has to go through only one filter. And that is, does it make us more lethal on the battlefield?" he said. "If the answer to that is 'yes,' then do it. If the answer to that is 'no,' clearly don't do it. If the answer to that is, 'hmm, shouldn't hurt,' I would suggest that we shouldn't do it, because it might hurt. So that's my opinion."

Kelly said he believed there would be "great pressure" to lower military physical standards in coming years to allow female infantry troops to advance professionally. "The question will be asked, 'well, we've let women into these other roles, why are they staying in these other roles? Why aren't they advancing as infantrypersons? Why aren't they becoming more senior?'" he said. "The answer, I think, will be that if we don't change standards it will be very difficult to have any real numbers coming in the [Marine] infantry, or the Rangers, or the SEALs, but that's their business."

Kelly also cited an injury report the Marine Corps commissioned from the University of Pittsburgh that found a higher percentage of female troops got injured while participating in the Marines' experimental integrated ground combat task force, "some of them hurt forever. "I think it will be the pressure for not the generals that are here now, but the generals that become, to lower standards because that's the only way I think that people, the agenda-driven people here in the land want it to work," he said. Kelly's comments underscore the tension between Defense Secretary Ashton Carter and other Pentagon leaders and a contingent of Marine Corps leadership that opposes opening all jobs to women.

The Marine Corps was the only service to ask for exceptions to a Defense Department-wide integration mandate, citing their task force experiment, which found that units containing women were slower, less lethal, and more prone to injury than all-male units. Navy Secretary Ray Mabus has criticized that study, saying cultural opposition to integration helped to "presuppose" the outcome of the research. But following Carter's decision that all jobs would open to women early this year, the Marines' commandant, Gen. Robert Neller, released a statement saying it was "time to move out" in compliance with the order.

Navy Personnel Chief Confident about Female Submariners
Jan 15, 2016 | The U.S. Navy's top human resources officer said Thursday he's confident the service will overcome any cultural barriers to fully integrating women into the submarine force.
Vice Adm. Bill Moran, chief of naval personnel, told reporters he plans to get a firsthand look of how well the process is going when he boards the USS Mississippi at Pearl Harbor later this week. The first two women to serve on the Virginia-class submarine arrived last month. The supply officer and submariner are the first women in the Pacific Fleet and among the first in the Navy to serve on attack submarines. Asked about traditions in the underwater fleet that may be crude, Moran said he wasn't a submariner himself but he said they were a highly professional force. "Part of being a professional is treating people with dignity and respect," Moran said. "If there are cultural aspects of being a submariner that don't comport with professionalism, male and female, then I'm sure they're going to figure out a way to get rid of those cultural barriers."

Vice Adm. Bill Moran, the Navy's chief of personnel, speaks to sailors at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii

Women have been serving on ballistic missile and guided missile submarines for several years, after the Navy ended a ban on women serving on board submarines in 2010. But attack submarines are smaller and present different challenges. The Navy and its contractors have been working on design changes to accommodate mixed-gender crews on submarines, where privacy is scarce for all, but especially the enlisted sailors. Sailors on the roomiest subs sleep nine to a bunk room, with four showers and seven toilets for the roughly 140 enlisted men. And passageways are so narrow that crew members can barely pass one another without touching. The Navy is first bringing female officers, then senior enlisted women on board the submarines to be followed by junior enlisted women.

The first female enlisted sailors selected for the "silent service" began training at submarine school in Connecticut in August. Moran said his challenge was to ensure enough women are on board the submarines to have them well-represented throughout the ranks from officer to chief and junior enlisted. Moran has said previously that problems develop if a ship has many junior enlisted females but no senior enlisted women on board to mentor them. But he said he expects the ranks of female submariners to swell as time passes. "Once enlisted women get on board submarines and their experiences are positive, that word spreads by social media and other ways and hopefully that helps inspire other women to want to continue," he said.

Submarines are not the same as infantry........not even close.

Women :

They are already Military Police officers behind enemy lines escorting convoys , and protecting compounds and forward combat areas .

They jump out of airplanes with the
82nd Airborne Division .

They are Explosive Ordinance Specialists in a combat area.

They are Intelligence specialist -Interrogators - and linguist in a forward combat area.

They take the exact Basic Training - academics and hands on that men take. Along with combatitives and road marches....... In full combat gear that the men d. They shot automatic weapons and shot the same qualification requirements ..... As the men do .

They pull their weight.
