In a supreme display of racism and radicalism, one of our resident liberals stated in a reply in another thread that no "black with integrity" would want to be associated with President Trump! Well, let's take a look at that claim:
* Under Trump, black and Hispanic unemployment have dropped to historic lows. The black unemployment rate has fallen by a full percentage point over the last year.
* Four of Trump's cabinet members are women; two of them are minorities; Trump's Surgeon General is black; and Trump just named a woman to head the CIA--she will be the first female CIA director.
* Trump has directed that $200 million per year be spent on technology training for minorities and women.
* Trump has officially recognized the importance of minority-owned businesses and held a ceremony to honor them.
* Trump attended the opening ceremony of a civil rights museum in Mississippi and spoke in praise of civil rights leaders. Sadly, a number of black leaders chose not to attend the event after Trump announced he would attend. My, my, how tolerant of them.
* Trump gave a superb speech to mark the celebration of February as National African American History Month. He spoke with sincerity and conviction as he praised black soldiers and progress on civil rights.
* In 1986, Trump received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for embodying the spirit of patriotism, tolerance, and brotherhood, and for reaching out to the less fortunate:
* MLK's niece says that the claim that Trump is a racist is outrageous. In a recent interview, she said,

The Ellis Island Medals of Honor embody the spirit of America in their celebration of patriotism, tolerance, brotherhood and diversity. They recognize individuals who have made it their mission to share with those less fortunate their wealth of knowledge, indomitable courage, boundless compassion, unique talents and selfless generosity; all while maintaining the traditions of their ethnic heritage as they uphold the ideals and spirit of America.
* MLK's niece says that the claim that Trump is a racist is outrageous. In a recent interview, she said,
"Racism is just a word that is being bandied about and thrown... at the president unjustly," she said. "President Trump is not a racist."
She also defended his alleged remarks, saying they were targeted towards the governments of those countries, not necessarily the people. "Some of their own leaders have taken advantage of them," she said. (MLK Jr.'s Niece: 'Trump Is Not a Racist')
