Willie Black Brown would get a lot of people thrown into Federal prison if he tried to push that. It is called conspiracy to evade taxes.

Congress is given the power to tax. As we all remember from the obamacare SCOTUS ruling, it is extremely broad. The money would be seized, accounts would be frozen, and they'd lose bigly across the board.

According to the source below, California isn't ranked at the top of the States dependent on Uncle Sugar, but rather is ranked at #46 way below the 45 other States taking much more from the National Treasury and putting much less into the Public Purse than California, proportionally.

The Fed's and Cali divorced each other a long time ago when the Fed's closed most of their military and naval bases there and moved them all.

Your claim trying to create an excuse for California not sucking as much from the Treasury teat does not hold water. California's economy was ranked as 6th highest in the WORLD last July and for the year a State GDP of $2.85 TRILLION. Quit drinking the shit sundaes and do some research before stroking your keyboard.
