9 11 Truth Why Osama Bin Laden s death won t kill the conspiracy theories.

The 9/11 Conspiracy Theory Movement (CTM) has faded with many liberals jumping ship since the election of Barrack Obama. It seems the CTM strongly attracted mostly angry, disenfranchised males in their 20s and with Obama's election many of those young men became less angry and less susceptible to CTM silliness.

9/11 conspiracy apostate Charlie Veitch compared being a believer in 9/11 theories to being in a cult:

--"There's so many people with so much of a vested political and psychological interest in maintaining, what I call the 'Conspiranoia,' view of the world—that there are these demons just behind the scenes where we can't see, running everything," Veitch told conspiracy theorist Max Igan. Veitch is one of the rare cases of a conspiracy theorist going back on his views.--

"Movement"??

I don't think it was ever a "movement".

It's a combination of lack of scientific literacy, snakeoil salesmen with an agenda (namely books to sell and/or a tenuous grasp on reality), and people who desperately need there to be some explanation other than the official one for some personal reason. Someone who already doesn't trust the government and simply can't accept that 9/11 was the result of some Saudis with box cutters is easily swayed by someone who uses scientific half-truths and sounds like they know what they are talking about mixed in with paranoia is easily swayed.
