Why no apology from FOX about Benghazi lies?

The gist of his entire message that morning after the Ben Ghazi attack was that this happened because of the Mohammad protests. He did so because if he admitted that it was actually Al Queda who did it, then his whole campaign bullshit of Alqueda being on the run would have been proven false. President Obama lied to save his re election campaign, and he forced his underlings to do the same.
If the President said the attack was carried out by al Qaeda he would have been lying. Hard to believe there are still people claiming the attack was conducted by al Qaeda. Of course people still link 9/11 to Iraq and Saddam, so people just believe what they want to believe. But the guy who led the attack at Benghazi has been captured and is in custody. He was never a member of al Qaeda. There was no operational relationship between the attackers at Benghazi and al Qaeda. The whole premise that a cover up was created to hide al Qaeda's ability to attack is just fraudulent garbage.

Eh, six of this and a dozen of that, if it's not Al Queda it's an offshoot that calls itself another name. Who gives. You guys are just parsing up words to hide the obvious. Obama got in front of the microphones and committed treason.

What exactly do you think Fox should "apologize for"?

For helping to produce people who make false claims about Benghazi, namely people like Roudy, Oldstyle and Claudette. And people like you that don't really offer any specific argument in defense of the terrible reporting out of Fox News and other networks on Benghazi.

Perpetuating the lie that Romney told that Obama did not call the Benghazi attack an act of terror until 14 days after the attack is one of many things Fox News should apologiuze for.

Perhaps Roudy would not perpetuate Benghazi myths such as that the "gist" of Obama's "day after" remarks were that the protests caused the attacks.

A truthful fair and balanced news organization would point out the truth of what Obama actually said - not encourage the mob of their audience to repeat lies about what Obama said or did not say.

On a tangental note, did you call for NBC to apologize when they selectively edited Zimmerman's phone call?

Every news network should apologize and fire people for any verifiable act of deliberate bad journalism.

I was not here but I have been severely critical of bad journalism in the past.

With particular attention on the run up and coverage of Bush's invasion of Iraq, When Obama pulled Bush's near military defeat in Afghanistan around. When Sakaashvilli attacked the people living in South Ossetia in 2008, and the reporting on the right wing led protests and coup d'état in Kiev last year, I criticize all US journalism. They need to apologize for much of what they do. But Fox is consistently among the worst of the worst on those stories,

One "gist" of wingnut Benghazi conspiracy theories (one of Oldstyle's favorites) is that Obama had al Qaeda on the run, so by revealing during the re-election campaign that al Qaeda had preplanned and carried out an attack that killed a US Ambassador on the anniversary of their horrific successful attack on Bush and Cheney's watch, would mean the voters would become aware that AQ was not "on the run" and would vote for the man who belongs to the Party that started a war in Iraq instead of concentrating on AQ in the first place.

A nutty CT I know, but a CT that is alive and going strong on this MB every day. So are you hoping to kill that CT now and break Oldstyle's heart?

I'm for that.

Ya sure. Truth is, was Bhengazi a preplanned terrorist attack? Yes.
Did it have anything to do with "protesters" upset over their religion being insulted? Absolutely nothing. Yet our president got in front of the cameras and lied his ass off, and then took off for a fund raiser. He then instructed his cronies to do the same, which they did.

Americans know when they are being lied to. Obama spoke an utter falsehood is true. The fact that they're covering their tracks and playing word games doesn't mean he didn't do it.

Truth is, was Bhengazi a preplanned terrorist attack? Yes

What investigation has uncovered any major pre-planning for the Benghazi attack by al Qaeda?

And we are two years after the attack and there are no definitive conclusions about pre-planning. Yet you in the most ignorant manner demand that the White House should have reached a conclusion on the pre-planning on the following day and unveiled it for all the world to see - right or wrong - and prejudicing the investigation with a hasty opinion in a way ttat no intelligence agency, law enforcement agency, or Justice Department ever conducted business before.

And what is even more absurd with that insane argument we unfortunately hear so often is that the lead suspect in the case apparently did not pre-plan the attack.

This story of Abu Khattala role in the attack will play out during his trial.

More people will hear it for the first time perhaps during the run up to 2016 US elections.

This news will not please you much, Roudy.! it does not fit your CT. The attack is not
Reported as pre-planned by the first ringleader to be tried for the deaths of Stevens and Smith at the Consulate in Benghazi:

As the attack in Benghazi was unfolding a few hours later, Mr. Abu Khattala told fellow Islamist fighters and others that the assault was retaliation for the same insulting video, according to people who heard him.

In an interview a few days later, he pointedly declined to say whether an offensive online video might indeed warrant the destruction of the diplomatic mission or the killing of the ambassador. “From a religious point of view, it is hard to say whether it is good or bad,” he said.

Several witnesses to the attack later said that Mr. Abu Khattala’s presence and leadership were conspicuous from the start. He initially hung back, standing near the crowd at Venezia Road, several witnesses said. But a procession of fighters hurried to him out of the smoke and gunfire, addressed him as “sheikh,” and then gave him reports or took his orders before plunging back into the compound.

Spotting him as the central figure in the attack, a local official, Anwar el-Dos, approached Mr. Abu Khattala for help in entering the compound. The two men drove into the mission together in Mr. Abu Khattala’s pickup truck, witnesses said. As the men moved forward, the fighters parted to let them pass.

When the truck doors opened inside the walls, witnesses said, Mr. Dos dived to the ground to avoid gunfire ringing all around. But Mr. Abu Khattala strolled coolly through the chaos.

“He was just calm as could be,” a young Islamist who had joined the pillaging said, speaking on the condition of anonymity for fear of retribution. Mr. Abu Khattala showed up on internal security cameras at about 11:30 p.m., according to American officials who have viewed the footage.

A short time later, Mr. Abu Khattala drove to the headquarters of Ansar al-Shariah, a local Benghazi militia whose members, witnesses said, also played a prominent role in the attack.

You almost gotta laugh. The radical left ignored the treasonous conduct of CBS when they tried to influence a presidential election with forged documents. Dandy Dan Rather still gets about six figures for a speaking engagement. Fox covered Benghazi when no other media outlet wanted to touch it. If anything the radical left needs to apologize to Fox.

Oldstyle wrote: "the Obama White House decided to go with a narrative that it wasn't Al Queda that was behind the attacks"

They didn't but so what if they had?

The primary ringleader arrested for the attack was not a member of al Qaeda.

.The State Department designated Abu Khattala a terrorist in January, calling him a “senior leader” of the Benghazi branch of the militant organization Ansar al-Sharia, a group that arose after the 2011 fall of the Libyan regime of Moammar Gaddafi.

If anything the radical left needs to apologize to Fox.

If you could drop your fascination with the radical left that has done nothing to harm Fox News as far as I know, perhaps you could explain why the Fox News target audience is full of conservatives such as Oldstyle there, who ramble on and on about a conspiracy theory that "the Obama White House decided to go with a narrative that it wasn't Al Queda that was behind the attacks".

Knowing the lead suspect in the murder of Stevens and Smith ion Federal property in Libya is not affiliated with al Qaeda, do you think the Fox News reporting on Benghazi has been fair and balanced?

They have a duty to come forward and apologize seeing as they are the GOP's solitary channel for kool aid. It would be different if there were > 1 rw tv channel.

I stumbled upon the Fox News Gomer Pile-O-Crap Huckleberry Sunday Night Nutter Gala Show last night and my eyes got caught up reading the news script rolling across the bottom of the screen. I didn't catch what Goober and his guests were saying but I was astonished at what headlines I was reading.

Fox reported in writing that:

  • Iraq Peshmerga with US air strikes had liberated another Iraqi city from IS terrorists
  • Iraqi Gvmt Forces were in the process of recapturing an Iraqi air base and town near the Syrian birder from the retreating terrorists known as IS.
  • The price of gas in US on average dropped $,25 the past 2 weeks to lowest price in five years
So I am surmising since the typical Fixed News blowhard here on this message board would never acknowledge events that cannot be used to trash Obama and government in general is because the Koolaid is dispensed through the audio video means on their programming while an adequate amount of truthful news is dispensed in writing. Therefore they can claim to he fair and balanced knowing that the written news won't be read by the Fox News dumbed-down Kool-Aid drinking masses.

Just a theory.
