Did you also notice Obama approving of bailing out corporate America while throwing small business under the bus? It's cuz they are too big to fail, but your not. LOL. Too bad since small business hires up to 2/3 of the work force every year. So the next time you go looking for a job and can't find one, you will have a better idea as to why.

Here's the problem with that argument. 50% of small businesses fail on their own. There's no point in propping them up because most of them shouldn't be in business. Big corporations are the whales, small businesses are the krill...

As a conservative, I realize that what we are fighting is collectivism. This can come in a wide range of institutions. How did Obama get elected twice? Do you really think it was some grass roots effort by a bunch of poor left wingers? No, corporations put him there. A wide range of corporations also supported such policies as Obamacare and Cap and Trade, etc. Politicians are leaches, it's not like they produce anything, they just feed off other peoples money.

I think you are deluded. Big corporations went along with Obama because after Bush, there was no way they could sell Republicans to anyone. Not even a decorated war hero with impeccable integrity.

Now these businesses are panicking because they know Trump makes Bush look positively statesmen like, but they are seeing what they can loot before hte rest of you figure it out.

Liberals hate corporations because Marx did. Corporations in reality are saintly, they provide us with the goods that got us from stone age to here and the paychecks with which to buy those goods. Hating them is like hating the air you breath and that would just as stupid as lib Marxism which slowly starved 120 million to death.

Corporations are a good thing! That is why I want anti-trust laws to be enforced so there can be a lot more of them...Monopolies are bad.

totally stupid as always!!!! what anti trust laws are not enforced, and what monopolies are there???????????

Why Do Liberals Hate Corporate America?
Liberals seem to view corporations as some living being that makes money at the expense of other people.
A large company like, say, IBM, is comprised of, first and foremost, of a bunch of employees. Some of them make a lot of money and some make less, based on a free market determination of their value. The CEO makes more than the guy sweeping the halls at night. But, the guy who sweeps the floors is “profiting” from IBM’s success and would suffer by the failure many liberals would wish upon it (by losing his job). And, today, the floor sweeper is getting very generous benefits, including healthcare (benefits he will soon lose under Obamacare – more on that in my next blog entry).
IBM is owned by public shareholders, which are primarily large mutual funds, whose underlying shareholders (through IRAs, 401(k)’s, and pension funds, but often directly as well) are individuals, increasingly middle class individuals. So, when IBM does well and their stock price goes up, middle class shareholders do well.
So why do liberals hate corporations, yet say nothing about the WEALTH of liberal professional athletes and liberal Hollywood elites?

Just the other day there were Republicans on USMB saying that most corporations are liberal.

Do you agree with them? I don't. All you have to do is look at how much the CEO makes compared to the average worker to know if the company is liberal or not.

The CEO-to-worker pay ratio list is full of such examples.

Wait....wut?

Corporations are saintly?

Did you know that gas companies put led in gasoline to make it cheaper, problem was, they were poisoning us all to the tune of around 5,000 deaths per year. It was proven long ago how toxic it was for the populace but it took until 1986 to actually do something about it.

The Secret History of Lead

And who funds the Swamp? Is it not corporate America?

You have to understand, the Left cares nothing about Marxism other than using certain aspects of it to empower themselves. The reason they are drawn to Marxism, is because economically it requires an overtly dictatorial all powerful system to keep track of each and every financial transaction and then redistribute the earnings. It's all about control.

Left wingers learned the hard way, through men like Lenin, that it is better not to own corporations by name, rather, they just want to pull the strings as they see fit. After all, do you want a bunch of corrupt and stupid bureaucrats running corporations? They would all go under just like they did in the former USSR. Hitler understood this and adopted the model of corporations not being owned in name by the state. Hitler's motto was, "Why nationalize industry when you can nationalize the populace?. Why own a corporation in name when you can simply tell them what to do? Then if they go under or do something terrible, you just wash your hands of them and pretend you had nothing to do with it. Hitler was still very Marxist in other aspects such as redistributing wealth the German people and had "free" health care and education, etc. This is the model the US adopted. But Hitler did not do it because he cared about the people. No, Hitler just wanted to avoid the uprisings seen in Germany during WW1 due to such low living standards. Likewise, the only reason the US has such things as Social Security is so the government can create a large pot of money they can steal from and to justify an exponentially expanding government.

If it were not for corporations, the Swamp could not exist. Why do you think that the Swamp made every effort to salvage corporate America as they let everyone else sink on their own?

Just look at who give more of their personal money and time to the poor. It is religious conservative folks.

Surprise! Conservatives are more generous than liberals

Dims just sit around whining about how the government needs to take care of the poor folk as they vote for people to force them to pay higher taxes on the premise that the money will be used to help the poor, all the while they just sit on their arse. Meanwhile only about 9 cents on the dollar in collected taxes actually goes to those in need.

It's like Al Capone. He owned soup kitchens. It's good to throw crumbs to the poor to create an air of legitimacy. Hillary was brilliant with this with her Foundation. She would have corporations "give money" to her Foundation to "help the poor" and then when government contracts came up in places like Haiti to help the poor, she would only give the contracts to corporations who gave to her charity and allow them to charge more than normal fees for their services which meant taxpayers were out more money. Also, these corporations would only give help that helped them more than the poor.

Naturally, some were helped so to hell with the naysayers, right?

Tim Cook makes about $9 million.
Does that mean Apple is liberal?

Ps. Giving your church money so it can buy a private jet isn’t charity it’s stupidity.

And conservatives have more money. Ever consider that?

Because they don't pay their fair share in taxes and their CEO's are keeping all the tax cuts for themselves.

Most large corporations are extremely Liberal/Progressive, and overly PC. Look at Silicon Valley, the large Media companies, Wall Street, and most others. All major Democrat Libs.

So?? they were building cars that killed 60,000 a year too? Does that mean they are not saintly but rather evil. Should we should make them illegal and let the Girl Scouts make all our stuff?

I'll tell you why I hate multinational corporations (mom and pop corps are different) they corrupt politics to eliminate the competition they get from the mom and pop corporations. It's as simple as that. Multinational corporations don't believe in fair competition, so they have their pet politicians enact legislation that puts their competition out of business. Take a look at amazon, and walmart as classic examples.

I'll splain it a different way, the reason we have a globalist Swamp is because of multi national corporations. That's why they don't want borders and probably want a one world monetary system and government at some point.

Yup. The ultimate goal is a world where there is a very small ruling elite, and a mass of poor people to service that wealthy elite.

Conservatives need to understand this instead of being such rubes.

Corporate America is pro-Swamp.

To drive home my point, anytime a "conservative" justice on the Supreme court rules for "conservatives", it is to empower corporate America. Otherwise, they consistently rule Left wing.

Problem is, they are one in the same.

Corporate America is pro-Swamp.
actually they is pro inventing the the best new iphones and 4k TV's to please us with a quickly rising standard of living, or they go bankrupt!

Conservatives/libertarians want to limit govt so corps have to focus even more on being good slaves to us. Liberals want to expand govt as in Obamacare so corporations and govt are one and don't have to please us to survive but rather please only the govt.

a small ruling elite would need a huge govt to rule and guess who is opposed to huge govt to prevent just that, and who is for it? See why we say liberalism is based in pure ignorance?
