What truly scares the bejesus out of the people in power (let's stop pretending that R and D, matter shall we?) is that Obama got millions of dollars from small contributors.

If the PEOPLE start buying politicians, instead of leaving it to the BIG MONEY boys, who knows what he might do?

Why social and economic justice might break out.

Why, citizens of this nation might even get a honest deal, for a change.

Husbands could start dancing with their wives, lions might lie down with lambs, my son might actually clean up the toxic waste that he's made of his room.

Who knows what madness might follow the election of a man who is not ENTIRELY beholden to the BIG MONEY MAFIA?

No I think it might be socialized medicine (just what we need, another government bureaucracy), massive tax increase (don't even start with the 95% of all taxpayers get a tax break considering 40% of filers don't currently pay taxes) and being beholden to the unions, especially the teachers union.

Dozens of americans were taken hostage in lebanon in the 80s, and in some cases held foe years. Reagan was totally ineffective in rescuing them, and then reagan did something carter never did. Reagan negotiated with terrorists and paid ransom for the hostages, by illegally giving arms the iranian regime.

A significant number of white Democrats will not vote for him because he's black, and a large number of independent voters don't want a leftist in office. This is an election that the Democrats should have won easily, but it's a statistical tie for now. Nominating Obama has been a huge gamble for the Democratic Party. In late 2002 and 2003, when obama was speaking out against your war, he was already thinking about running for US senate. One doesn't decide to run for US senate on a lark.

It was a risk to his upcoming senate run to come out so strongly against your war. If obama had been wrong, and your president had been right, Obama would have looked like a fool by the time he tried to run for US senate.

If obama was purely a political animal interested only in the advancement of his career, he could have kept his mouth shut in 2002. That would have been the smart move for a purely political politician. Nobody expects a state senator to make an anti-war speech. He could have flown under the radar and played it safe

But he did so in opposition to every intellegence report and the recommendations of two presidential administrations, Bush's and Clinton's and the claims of the duly unelected "president" of Iraq.

If we had followed his leadership, Saddam Hussein would still be the leader of Iraq, and he would still be claiming he had weapons of mass destruction.





Senator McCain gets credit for promoting the troop surge and winning the war when it was unpopular to do so.

Had we not followed his leadership, Al-Qaeda wold have claimed victory in Iraq and their ranks would have soared.
