Obama doesn't scare me. Pelosi and Reid do.

What truly scares the bejesus out of the people in power (let's stop pretending that R and D, matter shall we?) is that Obama got millions of dollars from small contributors.
If the PEOPLE start buying politicians, instead of leaving it to the BIG MONEY boys, who knows what he might do?
Why social and economic justice might break out.
Why, citizens of this nation might even get a honest deal, for a change.
Husbands could start dancing with their wives, lions might lie down with lambs, my son might actually clean up the toxic waste that he's made of his room.
Who knows what madness might follow the election of a man who is not ENTIRELY beholden to the BIG MONEY MAFIA?
when republicans complain about carter's handling of a hostage crises, the irony is so thick you couldn't cut it with a knife.
Dozens of americans were taken hostage in lebanon in the 80s, and in some cases held foe years. Reagan was totally ineffective in rescuing them, and then reagan did something carter never did. Reagan negotiated with terrorists and paid ransom for the hostages, by illegally giving arms the iranian regime.
carter would have been run out of the country, if he had secretly and illegally given high tech arms to the iranians

Look up "intelligent" because apparently you don't know what it means.
Obama is smarter than any Republican president in recent memory. Bush is dumber than a door nail and McCain looks like he is punch drunk. You guys hate that Obama is so smart, energenic and creative. HA HA HA
There are a lot of people that are afraid of Obama, not just the GOP. A significant number of white Democrats will not vote for him because he's black, and a large number of independent voters don't want a leftist in office. This is an election that the Democrats should have won easily, but it's a statistical tie for now. Nominating Obama has been a huge gamble for the Democratic Party. Hillary would have been the better pick.
his porn star Veep to win.
man, you neocons just hate the fact that obama made the right call on your trillion dollar war for phantom wmd.
In late 2002 and 2003, when obama was speaking out against your war, he was already thinking about running for US senate. One doesn't decide to run for US senate on a lark.
It was a risk to his upcoming senate run to come out so strongly against your war. If obama had been wrong, and your president had been right, Obama would have looked like a fool by the time he tried to run for US senate.
If obama was purely a political animal interested only in the advancement of his career, he could have kept his mouth shut in 2002. That would have been the smart move for a purely political politician. Nobody expects a state senator to make an anti-war speech. He could have flown under the radar and played it safe
A lot of us said that invading Iraq because of 9/11 was something like if the U.S. had invaded Mexico after Pearl Harbor.
It didn't take prescience... and it isn't second guessing.

He's the best guy for the job. The country is divided pretty evenly now. No Democrat would have run away with this thing. Yes, racial attitudes are hurting Obama but McCain is making up for that with his obvious short comings as a candidate. If Obama loses its not his fault, nor the Democratic parties, its simply the ignorance of the American people who would have caused this old man and his porn star Veep to win.
so did i.
it's specious to hold it up as some great act of courage when he had no responsibility for the outcome either way. that it is an opinion with which i agreed doesn't change that.
You mean those small non "big money" folks like
Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Lehmann brothers?
McCain's Economic Adviser is ex-Texas Sen. Phil Gramm. On Dec. 15, 2000, hours before Congress was to leave for Christmas recess, Gramm had a 262-page amendment slipped into the appropriations bill. It forbade federal agencies to regulate the financial derivatives that greased the skids for passing along risky mortgage-backed securities to investors. And that, my friends, is why everything's falling apart. That is why the taxpayers are now on the hook for the follies of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Bear Stearns and now the insurance giant AIG to the tune of $700 billion.
Interesting data. Plenty of blame to go around. Please provide a link.
What about his opposition to the war in Iraq? That was VERY unpopular even in the Democratic party.
