Phillip, you keep on repeating yourself with the same old stuff. Do you really think the Muslim world wants to see any piece of land, no matter how small it is, governed by any Jews? Do you really think that a Muslim in say Pakistan or one in Malaysia really cares about the Palestinians, but the thought that Jews are governing land that should be governed by Muslims is anathema to them? Since we appear to be feeding so much of the world, what happens when the food isn't sent to those Muslims who are starving? Can they eat oil? Why do you think there are those in the Gulf States buying farmland outside of their own countries? And, Phillip, there are many Muslim countries who are in much worse shape than you think the Palestinians are. Don't forget to send in a contribution via UNICEF or C.A.R.E. to help these unfortunate Muslims. After all, the Somalis are dropping likes flies in their roads due to starvation, and you certainly don't want to see this keep going on. As for the Arab Spring, time will only tell whether these countries will actually become democratic or if they turn Islamist with the people living under Sharia Law. So far, it appears that the Islamists are winning. The Palestinians don't give in for two reasons. . One is Political, and the second is Economic.
First, the Palestinians are simply pawns in a struggle between East and West. This struggle of the Arabs to free themselves from Western powers has been ongoing since the middle ages, and now for control of the oil fields which are the Economic life-line of the Western Powers...
Its not support for Israel as the recent UN votes indicate not a great love of Israel...I believe the Israelis know this so that most of their land confiscations are for future security measures, because they know their safety will be in great risk when the oil runs out in sixty years, not to mention Green development.
Israel knows that once the oil goes, the strategic interests, of the Military shield that the Western Powers afford her, will too vanish.
The second reason the Palestinians dare to not surrender is Economic…they live in dire poverty so that life is not as scared…their land has been confiscated, all they have left is a battered honor. They are the sacrificial lambs in the greater struggle between East and West.
The Arab spring, ragging around all Israel’s borders are a direct result of this struggle…All US and Western allies are disappearing one by one as we speak.
The only way for Israel in the long-run is not by Military Power but by Political accommodation and Economic cooperation. She needs to support a two State solution near the 67 borders and share E. Jerusalem near what the Arab League offered in 2002, and become part of the fabric of the ME with offers of Recognition, Peace and Trade…
Any other options will lead to more wars.

Peeballs----you are lying again-----the FACT is that the islamic teaching WORLD WIDE is that the entire middle east is and must remain ---forever--- MUSLIM LAND ----in order for the ummah to end the filth it perpetuated----hundreds of thousands of IMAMS would have to stand up in mosques and announce "WE WERE WRONG"---<<< and even then it would not work

Rose, I know you shoot from the hip faster than Wyatt Earp, can you provide some evidence on where I lie? Many Arab countries have helped Israel use their airspace to attack its enemies. Even Saudi Arabia the religious heart of Islam has supported a comprehensive two state solution and recognition of Israel as a Jewish state. By not accepting this world wide support for that case only gives the radical Islamists the power to eliminate these moderate states and insures future conflicts.

I know you are correct in most of what you say, except that the Arab League and the Palestinians have accepted Israel'ls right to exist as a Jewish state with defined borders
Not true; They will not recognize Israel as a Jewish State; they are demanding " Right of Return" which will not happen. They " accept" that the land will always be there but with " Right of Return" HAMAS can destroy from within and eventually the Jews will become the minority.

It seems, Phillip, that you are not keeping up with the news. Why not do a little research and see what Hamas has said recently regarding Israel? Maybe Phillip can tell us how Israel can make peace with a group that wants to destroy her. And don't forget that Hamas is gaining a lot of support in the West Bank, if you have been following the news.Phillip, you keep on repeating yourself with the same old stuff. I know you are correct in most of what you say, except that the Arab League and the Palestinians have accepted Israel'ls right to exist as a Jewish state with defined borders. It seems to me you keep repeating the same reasons for not supporting peace. Israel by repeating your excuses for war is isolating her from all her friends in the world. Eventualy the weight of Islamist gains will come to bear. To think this can go on forever in a state of undelared war with the immediate 400 million hostile neighbors is not a good gamble.

I certainly Do Not support the so-called right of return and do support a peace plan with agreeable land swaps that returns current areas of Israel with heavy Palestinian populations to the new Arab state to insure the demographic bomb never explodes on Israel's Jews...
I believe that these terms are negotiable...However, monetary compensation for the loss of property for Jews and Arabs is imperative.

The " Saudi Peace Plan" calls for Israel to give in to ALL demands and that is NOT going to happen. They already gave up all of Gaza. Under Clinton they gave up MOST ( Not all ) of the W. Bank and E. Jerusalem ( NOT ALL) In fact Israel's holiest sites were under " Palestinian Authority!) That wasn't enough for them. There is one Pro- Palestinian on the board who claims that the Palestinians are " negotiating" but when you ask her what they have put forth there is dead silence. How typical.

Phillip, do you really think Abbas wants to compromise and make peace with Israel when he is still insisting all those "Palestinians" are to be allowed to return? And don't forget those cartoons for children are still being shown on T.V. teaching the children to hate and kill Jews. I don't know what the future will bring, but it appears to me that the entire Muslim world wants to see Israel destroyed because they can't stand to see Jews in charge of one small piece of land in the Middle East, As far as democracy being brought to countries involved in the Arab Spring, I think it will be ages, if ever, that there will be democracies in these countries. It seems, Phillip, that you are not keeping up with the news. Hoss you and others ought to stop using Hamas as an excuse for not negotiating peace with Abbas, its leading to a self fulfilling prophesy of constant war. Let Hamas rot in its tiny fiefdom or give Abbas a police force to evict these fools from power.
Your comments are for stalling peace while the right wing Israelis keep robbing the Palestinians of more of their land...Netanyahu is only interested in a larger Piece.
