Obama's statements:
"I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer universal health care program. I see no reason why the United States of America, the wealthiest country in the history of the world, spending 14 percent of its gross national product on health care, cannot provide basic health insurance to everybody."
And so Obama's objective is to destroy the 1,400 health insurance companies that pay $100 billion a year in taxes and employ 400,000 people while paying out 95% of all claims submitted the first time with no questions!
Rather then ask the question why do 90% of physicians surveyed say they submit nearly $850 billion a year in claims they would NOT have to but do so out of fear of lawsuits, Obama a lawyer protects the $270 billion a year lawyers make.
Proof that the "Federal Tort Claims Act of 1946" works as over all tort reform would work!

-- Only 48% practice defensive medicine compared to 92% of non-government physicians.
-- 89% of physicians support a patient’s right to be compensated fairly for true negligence.
So if only 48% of government contracted physicians practice "defensive medicine" yet 90% non-govt. physicians do practice shouldn't that be proof that tort reform like what happened in 1946 would reduce the $850 billion a year insurance companies PAY OUT IN WASTED CLAIMS?
Do you understand? If government doctors don't practice "defensive medicine" because of the 1946 Federal Tort Claims Act"... wouldn't the same principle hold true for true national tort reform?
Then instead of fearing lawsuits and sending claims for $850 billion a year to insurance companies that pay 80% of their premiums in claims... imagine if that was cut by 40% or reduced to $400 billion that insurance companies would pay!
Premiums by STATES' Insurance regulators WOULD GO DOWN! Insurance companies have to justify their premiums and if when reporting to states' regulators their medical liability ratio is dramatically reduced, so to would premiums.
AND not one insurance company would go out of business. EVERYONE of the 4 million that truly want and needed (NOT THE blown out of proportion 46 million that was made up number because 10 million were not citizens, 14 million qualified for Medicaid/SCHIP and 18 million don't WANT..leaving 4 million!)
Problem solved!!
But NO Obama must destroy American businesses!
Just like he now is destroying the coal industry!
In the brief, Mr. Laurence H. Tribe, a highly regarded scholar of constitutional law at Harvard Law School and a former mentor of Mr. Obama’s argued that Mr. Obama’s use of the existing Clean Air Act to put forth the climate change regulations was unconstitutional. He then echoed that position in an op-ed article in The Wall Street Journal. He argued that in requiring states to cut carbon emissions, and thus to change their energy supply from fossil fuels to renewable sources, the agency is asserting executive power far beyond its lawful authority.
