"Carry" implies a conceal carry permit, which can get you in trouble if you pass thru states that don't have "reciprocity", just ask this mom:

I don't know where my license is good at other than my state. But no matter where it's good at, you have to be an idiot to carry a gun in a liberal state.
CCW licenses and guns are only good if the government will back you up if you need to use it. In Ohio, we are pretty much pro-gun here. I wouldn't think twice about offing somebody who is a real threat. In fact in our state, our Castle Doctrine applies to licensed carriers in their automobile. Breaking into my car is the same as breaking into my home as far as the law is concerned.
Anytime I strap on my gun, I pray I don't have to use it.
