The ripple effect that went through the economy affected many, many people who have been called back to work to refill the parts bins of the cars that got sold and now must have replacements built to refill the car lots.

That is what a stimulus looks like and acts like. With a bucket of seed money, the government incents the spending of private funds. The bucket put forth brings back a bushel. That is how a stimulus should work.

The barrel of pork, graft, political pay backs and bribes that was passed as a stimulus but which was really a swindle of criminal magnitude against the American people does none of this.

You apparently don't know the difference. That doesn't matter. Obama also does not know the difference and that does matter. That 3 billion produces more stimulus than 700 billion is telling. That the President does not have a clue tells more.

I don't know about YOUR community but here in Seattle there are HUNDREDS of infrastructure work projects going on at the same time. Mostly busy streets long overdo for repairs.

6 months is too short of a time to judge his performance.

But if he hadn't turned things around by the end of his second year.

Then I would take back any support I had for him and chalk up his term as a failure.

I want the stuff he signs into law to definately succeed. If he fails it screws up all of us here in the USA.

However, I dont want him to get a lot of his policy changes put in place...i dont like larger and more intrusive government, especially from the feds. Health care for example, I want the system fixed which is the EXACT REASON i'm against HR3200 which Obama supports. I think it will actually make care even worse than what we currently have.
