How many citizens follow members of law enforcement around each and every day to see what they do or don't do? All we know is that it happens, and some of it makes daily headlines. We have no idea as to what goes on that never makes it to the front page. It's anyone's guess as to how much crimes goes on within law enforcement agencies. Street crime is reported, but crime among members of law enforcement isn't reported nearly as often for various reasons. Remember, law enforcement investigates law enforcement. A lot of it is done internally, and therefore may never be public knowledge. Also, cops cover for cops. We really have no idea what is done that we never hear about.
