Well, I would say mother nature, but I heard Colonel Hunt, commentator on Fox put it this way: The Governor of La. had to pull the trigger to get the National Guard, etc., to mobilize, and Gov. Blanco just failed to do it. Also, he noted that the Governor could have had guard units, water, etc., in place up to 2 days before the hurricane hit, but failed to do so. If Col. Hunt is right, consider this: The Governor had two days' warning that this would be a Cat. 5 hurricane. That's a colossal blunder. I might call it a Cat. 5 blunder. Want to place blame somewhere? Start with a huge helping in the direction of Governor Kathleen Blanco.
