Where does wealth hatred come from?

I'm awed by the amount of time and effort that the OP has put into a question that is based on a faulty premise. It's almost as if I can hear the gears in his head turning.....excruciatingly slow.

What is truly amusing is those who so regularly and automatically defend the "rich" from all criticism. Do these little lap dogs think their masters will give them treats?

Nobody can have an opinion unrewarded? What about all the left that defends government no matter what they do? Are they expecting a treat?

My employer is far from wealthy. This idea that anybody who owns a business is wealthy is your little liberal world dreamland. Most small businesses close up within the first five years, and the few that actually survive are far staying open week by week. For the few small businesses that actually do make it to wealthy, it takes nearly a lifetime.

again- vacations in Italy. You don't get health insurance.

Why aren't you angry about this again? Oh, that's right. You blame the black guy.

I don't know anything about Ed Hanaway, but you are looking at all wealthy as evil people instead of (like any other group) looking at a small fraction of those people as evil. ?

Ed Hanaway is the president of Cigna, and we've discussed him in the past regarding Nataline Sarkisyan, the 17 year old girl who died because Cigna wouldn't pay for her liver transplant.

You spent several posts saying why this was okay, somehow. Now you are pleading ignorance?

How about if we did that will any group? I'll pick something that hits home with you: what about all black people? What do you say about whites who hate blacks because of a few personal experiences or a few things they read about? Would you be okay with hating them as much as you hate the wealthy?

Black people have never fucked me over.
Rich people have fucked me over several times.

But here's the thing. if someone shot a rich guy's kid, I wouldn't spend pages and pages telling folks how that was totally justified.

What faulty premise? Are you going to tell me you leftists on USMB don't hate the wealthy given your constant remarks?

Considering we are wealthy comparred to other people in the world your attempt to broad brush paint liberals is shallow and pedantic...

That and his very limited vocabulary is disingenuous..

Leftists? Name them.

Yes. That's what I'm telling you. Liberals here don't hate welathy people. We don't hate business owners. Many of us ARE business owners.

Idiot.

Why is wealth hatred acceptable by liberals?

I think you have a very good question. I have an answer that works for me. There are two kinds of people --- one lot that identifies with the rich. The other lot identifies with the poor.

This is completely independent of income or wealth or poverty. I have seen poor people who identify with the rich, and we have all seen rich leftists who identify with the poor, not that they plan to give any of their money away, of course. The rich who identify with the poor aren't crazy, it's all lip service. They live in good white neighborhoods and they send their kids to expensive private schools.

All the time talking socialism. I have relatives like that, both doctors. It doesn't have to make sense, it's just which group someone identifies with, the rich or the poor.
. The socialism they preach is a way to keep the poor people down. When you try to equal out everyone in the workforce where individuals can't break away from the frey upon their own merits, then everyone is held down. This is outstanding for the companies, because it controls their labor cost. Yep, and this practice then adds to their bottom lines.

Well.......the quickest answer is that it comes from the Democrat party and politicians. Hate people because they own businesses, hate people because they don't pay their workers enough, hate people because they get tax breaks, hate people because they have stuff the rest doesn't. It's brainwashing as usual.

But in my opinion, it must have deeper roots than politics.

Hate is usually a defense mechanism. Hate comes from fear or threat. You may hate your supervisor because he or she threatens your future with the company. Hate may come in forms of race where you feel a threat or fear for the safety of your family or investment of your home. Hate may be of gender where a person was abused by their spouse or even a stranger. It comes from somewhere. You don't wake up one morning and say "I really hate that Donald Trump. I didn't mind him yesterday, but today I wish he'd fall off a cliff."

I guess this question is really for the libs since they lead the charge in wealth hatred. If you agree with my assessment that hate derives from fear or threat, what has the wealthy done to you in the past that makes you feel this way? Or is it you were told by the Democrat party to hate wealthy people?

Well.......not all wealthy people of course. Liberals tend to give waivers to sports figures, entertainment figures, lottery winners, people that do things they enjoy instead of working for wealth. But if you went to college, worked your way up the ladder, made investments, and became wealthy through work, you are the worst creature on earth, and the Democrat party simply fuels that flame.

Is this why Repubs and Christians hate gay people? They are afraid of them? Are they afraid they will be turned into a gay person if they get too close to one?

I have a better one:

Where do minions come from?

That's part of it.

To straight Republican men, gays are so enticing. So interesting. Adam's apple.

The other is that gays contribute so much to the country way beyond their small numbers.

What do Republicans contribute? Appalachia?

I come from a somewhat rich household worth 1.4 million.

However, I think most rich people kind of suck,as do most poor people kind of suck.

But, the rich people are more dangerous, especially ones in our institutions.

Look at the brats in media, Hollywood, the NFL, or businesses hiring illegals, or outsourcing.

Okay, let's look at them.

These are the people who create jobs.
These are the people who pay all the income taxes for the country.
These are the people who invest in the stock market where many of the working people's IRA's are at.
These are the people who give investors an opportunity to share their company wealth.
These are the people who create downtowns and erect huge buildings.
These are the people who create products and services we all depend on.

The media, Hollywood, sports are the ones that get the exemption from the liberals as I pointed out. Besides giving us something to watch on television, what good are they to society as a whole?
These days they are creating automated jobs.

Which of course, leaves Republicans out of work.

Here’s how to use AI to make America great again - the relentless pace of automation

Trollin', trollin', trollin' ----

This thread is not about homosexuality. It's about wealth hatred.

I reiterate my opinion that it's simply an issue of identity (which has a lot of psychological roots in each individual). Do you identify with the rich, or with the poor?

It's never a question of truth, or envy, or justice, or any of that for any question.

It's what side you are on. In this case of weath hatred, the right identifies with the rich and the left with the poor. How much money individuals have within each group is irrelevant. It's only about what side we are loyal to.

Choose a side, I would say. Be loyal to it. War is coming.

I suggest folks check out what Winston Churchill had to say about Socialism. It'll give you a better idea of where 'wealth hatred' comes from.
Churchill believed that socialism was communism and also wanted to hold on to the colonies... So they got rid of him as soon as World War II ended.

Actually Churchill was a strong proponent of nationalized universal healthcare.
