Well.......the quickest answer is that it comes from the Democrat party and politicians. Hate people because they own businesses, hate people because they don't pay their workers enough, hate people because they get tax breaks, hate people because they have stuff the rest doesn't. It's brainwashing as usual.

But in my opinion, it must have deeper roots than politics.

Hate is usually a defense mechanism. Hate comes from fear or threat. You may hate your supervisor because he or she threatens your future with the company. Hate may come in forms of race where you feel a threat or fear for the safety of your family or investment of your home. Hate may be of gender where a person was abused by their spouse or even a stranger. It comes from somewhere. You don't wake up one morning and say "I really hate that Donald Trump. I didn't mind him yesterday, but today I wish he'd fall off a cliff."

I guess this question is really for the libs since they lead the charge in wealth hatred. If you agree with my assessment that hate derives from fear or threat, what has the wealthy done to you in the past that makes you feel this way? Or is it you were told by the Democrat party to hate wealthy people?

Well.......not all wealthy people of course. Liberals tend to give waivers to sports figures, entertainment figures, lottery winners, people that do things they enjoy instead of working for wealth. But if you went to college, worked your way up the ladder, made investments, and became wealthy through work, you are the worst creature on earth, and the Democrat party simply fuels that flame.

It's jealousy, pure and simple.

I come from a somewhat rich household worth 1.4 million.

However, I think most rich people kind of suck,as do most poor people kind of suck.

But, the rich people are more dangerous, especially ones in our institutions.

Look at the brats in media, Hollywood, the NFL, or businesses hiring illegals, or outsourcing.

Blame always falls where blame falls on each issue. Can't put every issue in one nice neat explanation/package nor can we defend the indefensible no matter where it lay. Defending the so called rich because they're rich is ridiculous, but you see this a lot in life.

Okay, let's look at them.

These are the people who create jobs.
These are the people who pay all the income taxes for the country.
These are the people who invest in the stock market where many of the working people's IRA's are at.
These are the people who give investors an opportunity to share their company wealth.
These are the people who create downtowns and erect huge buildings.
These are the people who create products and services we all depend on.

The media, Hollywood, sports are the ones that get the exemption from the liberals as I pointed out. Besides giving us something to watch on television, what good are they to society as a whole?

And attacking or hating the rich as a whole is not? Plenty of people doing that--especially on USMB.

The Goldilocks effect. Those who are not like me (the very rich, the very poor) are bad.

A lot of racists use that same supposed logic. They think blacks and Hispanics are too dumb and Asians and Jews are too smart and each is threatening to white people.

Businesses outsourcing jobs, and hiring illegals is a net detriment to this country, they're just as worthless as the celebrities in the News, the NFL, or in Hollywood.

How so? Most don't hire illegals. The companies that outsource only do so for one reason, and that is consumer demand. The American consumer is obsessed with price, and industry is only catering to their demands.

If you think all classes are created equal in terms of morality, you're not paying attention.

Most in the Middle Class are hard working, tax paying people.

Most in the lower class take in terms of welfare, and have more crime.

Most in the upper class reap havoc by hiring illegals, spreading Liberal propaganda, and outsourcing jobs, and while their crime isn't too bad, when they do something criminal it's usually very bad like pull a Bernie Madoff, or pull a Jacob Schiff and finance a Bolshevik Revolution, or pull a Rockerfeller and finance the Nazis.

Which businesses don't hire Illegals, exactly?

Even apparently in your "Truck Drivers"

When people are told over and over the reason they are poor is because other people are rich over time they start to believe it and then resent those who have wealth. Lets be honest when our life is not going the way we thought it would it's much easier to blame someone else for it than look at ourself. Would I like to have the same type of wealth that Donald Trump, Mark Zuckerberg, or Bill Gates have yes do I no do I resent them for their wealth or blame them for my not having what they do no.

Why is wealth hatred acceptable by liberals?

I think you have a very good question. I have an answer that works for me. There are two kinds of people --- one lot that identifies with the rich. The other lot identifies with the poor.

This is completely independent of income or wealth or poverty. I have seen poor people who identify with the rich, and we have all seen rich leftists who identify with the poor, not that they plan to give any of their money away, of course. The rich who identify with the poor aren't crazy, it's all lip service. They live in good white neighborhoods and they send their kids to expensive private schools.

All the time talking socialism. I have relatives like that, both doctors. It doesn't have to make sense, it's just which group someone identifies with, the rich or the poor.

It's simplistic to say the working class hate the rich due to jealousy. A couple factors overlooked in the OP include wage disparity. When the middle class was strong, those owning the means of production were not paid 200, 300, 400% more than the average wage earner. There was opportunity for a wage earner and his family to advance up the economic ladder. There were solid, well paying jobs for the sons and daughters of wage earners to enter into without the cost of college education. It's not a coincidence that when the middle class was strong, labor unions were also strong.

Then came Reagan and 'trickle down' economics. What followed was a disastrous period for middle class wage earners. Company downsizing; the loss of wages, benefits and increased hours, the decimation of union collective bargaining power and off shoring of whole segments of the economy.

What seems obvious is the stronger the middle class, the stronger the economy. Our economy is largely driven by consumer spending. A concept not unfamiliar with anyone who passed an Economics 101 course. More middle class disposable income coupled with middle class leisure time means more exchange of capital within our economy. More homes built and furnished, more consumer goods produced and sold, more activity in the economy leads inevitably to both higher rates of growth and a more stable economy.

Since it was decided that a very few people should hold more capital we have seen a series of disastrous economic bubbles and their devastating bursts. Consumer banks were let into the investment bank marketplace and we had a real estate bubble. Who benefited? Not consumers whose mortgages turned out to be nothing more than poker chips in a casino about to go belly up. And, incidentally, how does a casino go belly up? And whose casinos have gone belly up?

Get more capital into more hands as quickly as possible if sustainability in growth is anything like something you would like in the American economy. Widening wage disparity leads to two unfortunate yet inevitable conclusions: economic failure or social/political revolution. History tells us so.

I can understand why some hate the poor. They are usually the people involved in crime, drugs, closing down of stores, destroying once nice neighborhoods. But what has the rich done to such communities that are anyway similar? If anything, they do just the opposite.
