When the fainting stops

Just heard Obama spoke before a half empty audience in Ohio. Not looking good for the Neo-Marxist

First, somebody already posted a conservative circle jerk thread on this.

Second, as AquaAthena was so kind to point out:

At The Ohio State University, over 5,000 seats in the 20,000-person venue went unfilled on the upper seating deck and behind the press cameras

The arena was 75% full; not half full like you so eagerly claimed.

When your a personality cult, that is a bad thing.

Yeah fucking right....

The progressives intent is communism (authoritarianism) or in some cases blatant totalitarianism..

Um....what?

Communism and fascism are further from the centre than they are from each other. Check out the classic horseshoe political model and you'll see what I mean.

No progressive could ever support totalitarianism by definition.

No conservative could ever support totalitarianism by definition.

The extreme are virtually the opposite of the moderate positions.

Rather than just shove as many terms into each sentence as you can, try considering what the terms actually mean! And if you don't know, don't bluff. It shows.

i dont see a link....nothing....plus i have seen both sides make claims....

i wonder what the real attendance record was....and why suddenly anyone cares.....

i hate to be this way...but obama is gonna win...i just dont see anyother outcome unless romney does something in the next what...6 months....we are rolling right up on the election....nc votes tomorrow....

btw: i voted no to amend the nc constitution to ban gay marriage

i think nc will be a red state come elections....with perdue not running for re election...the state is in a wee bit of turmoil right now....monies from the 'educational' lottery being diverted

then you have the embarrassment of edwards and his bunny money

You keep your clasic horeshoe curve, you seem to need it. You are fairly correct, that neither the left wing, nor the right wing supports totalitarianism, but one does not have to support it to wind up with it. When any state fails, totalitarianism is always waiting in the wings to fill the gap. Usually, a military takeover before total failure takes place.

Socialism is like a drug, and it works the same way. Once instituted, it creates dependence, and dependents are never satisfied for long. They always want more, and they always want to do less to get it. It is a drive to the bottom, and the only variable is the time it takes to get there. The only possible result is a bankrupt nation. A failed state with a 99% chance of a dictatorship and individual misery.

Erand -

I no more support socialism than you do. I've never supported a socialist candidate or party, and never will do.

What I do support is the correct usage of political terms. If people are going to through around terms like 'Neo-Marxist', I recommend they check what it actually means first.
