Most importantly, while Sen. Fann and others maintained all along that the audit was not partisan and was not intended to help Trump, the emails show Doug Logan was in contact with Stop the Steal leaders, right-wing funders, and members of Trump’s orbit from the start. Like the fake electors scheme, the countless lawsuits, the Giuliani-Powell traveling circus, and the Jan. 6 insurrection itself, the Maricopa County audit was simply another tool in Trump’s 2020 election overthrow scheme.

It’s not hard to see why Logan did not want the emails released. The first story yesterday made it clear that Cyber Ninjas didn’t know WTF they were doing, and any “findings” they announced were fiction, which is what most reputable audit firms said at the time.

Another story today sheds light on Doug Logan’s role in the Stop the Steal movement before he was hired to run the Arizona audit (which explains why he was hired).

I can see AG Kris Mayes’s office from my window. I’m guessing she might be interested in this outright fraud, as does reporter Laurie Roberts:

From CNN:

An aide to former President Donald Trump has been indicted in special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the mishandling of classified documents from the Trump White House, two sources familiar with the indictment tell CNN

Walt Nauta’s indictment is the second in the special counsel’s investigation after Trump was indicted on seven counts on Thursday.
An attorney for Nauta declined to comment. Nauta was with Trump at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club this week.

This poor schmuck would be wise to fully cooperate with the Feds, unless he wants to spend many years in prison. He was a Navy veteran, so he should have known better.

Way to go, Special Counsel Jack Smith! Keep those indictments coming, please.

Trumps Attorneys Resign After Indictments:

In a joint statement, Trusty and Rowley said: "This morning we tendered our resignations as counsel to President Trump, and we will no longer represent him on either the indicted case or the January 6 investigation."

GOP Senate Leaders: “It’s Not Worth Defending Trump”

McConnell isn't alone, though, Fox noted — for instance, Minority Whip John Thune (R-SD) has also not offered any public comment on the matter yet either.

"The reality is that many Senate Republicans would like to move on beyond Donald Trump," said Fox. "They don't want to be involved in the day-to-day nitty-gritty responding to everything that the former president does. Obviously, they are going to have to respond when they return to Washington next week. This is going to be the first question at a Republican press conference on Tuesday that lawmakers hold, but there is a reason that they are holding back, and part of that is they believe that it's just not worth defending the former president."

Trump is going to have to find a way to separate himself from the extremist crazies if he's ever going to stand a chance of making a comeback.

The jury is in on the right's extremists and most of them are already in jail.

Trump becoming an antiwar prospect is the way forward to bringing the American people to his side.

This can be facilitated by impressing the people on the fear of M.A.D.

That's now Trump's only path left to him, and even that is a long shot now.

When it rains skrewed is in danger of drowning since he stands there with his mouth open.
...reduced to weak witticisms?

How very sad.....................yet still funny~

He cannot distance himself...they will ride him until he dies...and for a very long time thereafter.

I don't know the complete formula for Trump regaining enough popularity back, but him becoming the leader of an antiwar movement large enough so that it can't be ignored, is one possibility.

The situation is at a critical point. Russia is moving forward now as if the enemy doesn't exist.

It's taking more than propaganda for the Ukraine to hold their lines.

It's calling for an extraordinary escalation by America!

No, it is not. You Russian trolls are terrified the counteroffensive is going to break through into the Rodina.

The Rapist and Traitor loves the extremist nuts, he created them for fuck sake.

I was suggesting a political comeback that's within the law.

But it's much more likely that he will have to stage a show of strength that will intimidate the law. In America that can be done with no more than a million of the faithful in the streets.

If he plays it right he could possibly convince them to bring their AR's.
