Heard some spin earlier today that the reason Comey said that stuff was it meant the official investigation was over. Since it was a given that her cronies wouldn't indict her he was now free to testify before Congressional hearings and release the whole story and all the evidence rather than it being buried forever. Maybe there's wings to that narrative; he would have to answer truthfully in testimony before a Congressional investigation, and a request from Congress for the evidence couldn't be ignored or stonewalled with restraining orders and the like, and the AG couldn't interfere in any way.
