Personally I think the congress is what's more important this go around. The social issues that typically wind up in the scotus are not going to right this ship. Abortion is not in jeopardy in my opinion. The gay agenda is not going to save us from bankruptcy. Social issues need to take a back seat to the real problems we face. And of course nominees go no where without approval from congress. The real challenges we face as a nation pertain to fiscal issues and economic ones. That's why I think congress is more important. Granted we need a congress that doesn't spend money like a new lottery winner. Other than the military and the veto pen any president can be kept in check with appropriate congressional oversight. What say you?
