It would be simple math if it were in fact the way it is.
I've asked this one before, to only hear a roaring silence: Can you give some evidence of how the Geriatric Old Party has moved even a little bit toward what has been traditionally known as "the right"??
Also, your math might well work out if you look to the left in order to peel off a few knock-'em-over-with-a-feather squish "moderates" -who by their very description have no real core political beliefs- but what of the people who have been so alienated and disgusted with squishy sellout republicans that they're voting CP, LP, and/or are just staying home??
Please list all the self-described moderate Republicans in the House and the Senate.
I count two self-described Republican moderates in the Senate.
And please list all elected Republicans who support abortion.
The fact that there is even the term "RINOs," let alone a systematic campaign to unseat them from within the party from the likes of The Club for Deficits, er, excuse me, The Club for "Growth", is all one needs to know about the direction of the party.
