What This Election is Really About; Will Corporations Own America or Will Its Citizens?

For instance, Juanita Brodderick, who you all like to trot out
Look at the facts: Is Juanita Broaddrick Telling the Truth?

And consider, Slate is a very liberal source.

So you drag up a 20 year old Slate Story that admits, there's no way to know, one way or the other? That's the best you have?

How about answering the questions I raised.

Why can't she remember the date this happened? That would seem to be a big deal. I know the date of every really bad thing that's ever happened to me. HOw could she not remember the date?

I don't get my knowledge of history and politics from Hollywood.

The citizens had a LOT to do with that fiasco. Many perpetuated and took advantage of that scam with unbridled greed in mind. There were many to blame in that.

I'll take intelligence and yes greed, over heart any day of the week. Heart leads to irrational decisions and self destructive policies.

I dont get my knowledge from Hollywood either, dude, but I gave that link to provide an illustration of what was talked about.

I was following Mish Shedlock back in the late 1990s when the folks were then concerned about a rumored "Dot com bubble" and then later as Mish and others grew concerned for the real estate bubble. The details regarding the real estate crash are all handled by the banks and the government as demand for more mortgages grew and other forms of credit so they could pile them into new MBS and similar securities based on derivative contracts.

I was following the use of the CDS to bank against losses then abused as simple gambling methods, with people taking out CDS as bets on contracts, securities and even other MBS that the buyer had no control or ownership in at all. That created an exponential increase in the risk of all these MBS which in turn were magnifying the losses of a real estate bubble crash itself.

So, I dont use movies to prove my case, I am just trying to help you to understand that the fucking corporations are the biggest piles of stupidity born from greed on the planet and a randomly selected 50 names out of the phone book could run this country better than they are, could or would.

You don't think that there weren't people behind those deals and schemes? people like the politicians that ignored the warnings and signs, refusing to rein in the banks. Everywhere you turn there are "citizens" involved.

Of course the objects running the corporations are people.,....for now.

You can't even count. The story is 17 years old, not 20. Where is your credibility?

From Slate: Broaddrick did not remember the date of the rape, though she did supply the name of the hotel (Camelot) and the reason she was visiting Little Rock (a nursing home seminar). She also says that Clinton pointed to a ramshackle prison outside the hotel room window before he raped her and said he planned to renovate it. NBC News found a date when a nursing home seminar was held in the Camelot Hotel and records show that Broaddrick attended. Newspaper reports suggest that Clinton was in the area and had no official commitments in the early morning, when the rape is supposed to have occurred. There was a prison outside the hotel window.

She remembered a lot of telling details.

Also from Slate: Five people say Broaddrick told them about the rape immediately after it occurred. A friend and co-worker named Norma Kelsey says that, 21 years ago, she found a dazed Broaddrick with bloodied lip and torn pantyhose in their shared hotel room and Broaddrick explained that Clinton had just raped her.

Okay, here's the problem with that. she couldn't remember the date, and the hotel has no record of her (or Clinton) being there. again, she couldn't even remember the MONTH. And how many "Nursing home seminars" do you think this particular hotel had in a year?

Don't you think they'd remember if the Attorney General was on the premises during one of them?

And yet THIS woman couldn't remember the date, either. and the hotel has no record of her being at this hotel.

Before the safe food and drink laws in Great Britain the food companies were using alum and borax in bread, etc., to make the product look whiter. America had similar problems. No, we are not going back.

Obama's no better. He gave BP more drilling rights after the Gulf of Mexico disaster without any evidence that they'll run their operation any safer. He puts corporations above the people who elected him the same as most republicans. He's just more of a hypocrite about it. Trump on the other hand has went against the ownership class. In this respect he's more of a progressive than either clinton or obama.

Who isn't part of the 'sablisment? Hilapum?Trumary? I live a list of sixteen candidates, none of them appeal to me What sky pilot should I vote for?

You just created the mother fallacy of false equivalencies. One, BP was out in the gulf outside of US jurisdiction, and two, it had nothing to do with FDA, etc. So you like Trump because he is a socialist. That's a new one.

Can you please repost that in Engrish?

BP ruined the gulf of Mexico. Obama administration ok'd more leases for them to drill shortly thereafter. Nobody went to jail. BP CEO got his life back. obama's a paper tiger who's totally in the bag for the ownership class. Clinton will be the same.

Your equivalency is false. You are trying to say you don't want regulation, which will result in greater food poisoning and oil spills.

You far righters just don't think things through. It's your lack of education and demonstrated inability to think clearly.

Equivalency, false equivalency... mother fallacy of false equivalencies, etc. and so on We had a kid like you in school who was always trying to impress people with these kind of nonsense phrases, just like you do. A teacher took him down a peg or two by saying "big men use little words, little men use big words". Anyway, I never said I was against regulation. In fact, I wish obama had respected our regulations by not signing any more BP leases until they proved drilling would be done in a safer manner.

jasonfree has trouble understanding that words and terms have accepted, traditional meanings.

Abortion is a medical term, murder is a legal term.

A fallacy leads to a false conclusion.

Jason, attacking me only underlines your position's weakness. Tis what it is.
