I've seen boogie boards, bicycles and a variety of other things carried on. The stroller broke down to specs, that's why she had it. Dumbass attendants didn't know it broke down and acted like baby killing, woman hating faggots.
Would you please tell us:
- what is so objectionable about gate checking a stroller, which is what the airline wanted to do?
- what is one going to do on an airplane with a stroller?
So, please, explain to us what it is about a stroller that can possibly militate for one's need to to have it be stowed and take up space -- and in the worst case, become an airborne projectile that may harm someone -- in the passenger cabin rather than in the "gate checked" cargo hold below deck.
I'm sincerely asking the question because as someone who, until quite recently, routinely flew one to five times a week for the past 25 (maybe 23) years, I don't see what the issue is with gate checking a stroller. I've flown on just about every class of plane that exists in commercial airline fleets, and in none of them is the distance one must go from one's seat to the restroom so far that a typical parent cannot carry or escort the child there. Flight attendants will, if asked, assist quadriplegic parent with getting themselves and the child to the restroom. Occasionally, a plane will have a social lounge. I suppose if one's of a mind to hang out there and party with a small child, the airline may allow one to do so. Maybe then the stroller would be useful, but what'd be more useful to have is the common sense that tells you an on-board the airplane social lounge with a bunch of drinking and mildly boisterous adult revelers is probably not the best place for a child, even one comfortably ensconced in its stroller.
